RARE Fine Pair Meiji Early Japanese Silver Wire Cloisonne Enamel Vases -Geishas. A very beautiful antique Rare Pair Early Meiji cloisonne vases. The plentiful colors are brilliant and gold and silver wire detail is outstanding. The ground color is uncommon and beautiful. I would call it a yellow-green, if that helps. These vases are very, very old, exhibit very high standard of fine Japanese hand craftsmanship. From the early, early Meiji Period, the cloison detail work in gold an silver wire was certainly performed by a master of Japanese cloisonne. These antique vases are in excellent original condition. No evidence of trauma, but some hairline cracks can be seen in photos. I believe these are from age or the period made. Some normal wear to base. Vases display very beautifully. The recurring white spot is flash off high gloss finish. These may not be shiny and perfect like the newer ones, but these are the’real deal’, if you like very old, original pieces. And they are beautiful. Approximate size is 6 tall. Please see photos as an integral part of this description. Sometimes the camera catches what I don’t. Please ask any questions. DESCRIPTION This is Early Imari blue & white porcelain plate. There is no big deficiency, it can be said that it is a complete item when considering the times. SIZE (about) 18.5cm×3cm (7.28inch×1.18inch) total weight: 762g (plate: 409g) Condition: used / The state is very good , considering the age. IP16 RARE Early Imari Japanese Shinogi blue & white porcelain plate w/box. Lip is a form of Tsuba, hand-carved Shinogi pattern, Foot is 1/3 of the whole plate, It is a typical incipient Early Imari. It is drawn largely with old people, relaxing fishing, mountains and a sailing boat. There is a story that the fishing line of this subject does not have a needle. Is he hermit or a Taoist guy… Age: 1624 – 1645 Kan’ei/E. It is a finished item that can not be obtained even in Japan. Normally excavation products will be distributed. They are scratches and cracks, those whose surface glaze is slightly peeled off, It is commonplace that there are drawbacks such as ash deposits in a kiln. A very fine and rare early 19. Century gilt brass Japanese bracket / table clock or Makura Dokei in need of restoration. The plated lantern type spring driven movement with balance wheel and verge escapement, the balance with silk suspension. Originally with datework and dial with adjustable hour chapters. Gilt brass case/frame beautifully engraved with foliate sprays and devices. Beautifully turned frame pillars. Rosewood base with convex friese in which is the key drawer. The mechanism is complete but lacks the original dial and datewheels. The striking train is missing only the gathering pallet for the countwheel. A very fine and rare clock but in need of a little careful restoration. Please see images below. At the top of the images below I have included a short video to give you an idea of how the strike mechanism runs. Please allow the video to load before playing it through. In very good but incomplete condition and as seen. The whole clock retains its original gilding in exceptionally good condition. The movement is in very good condition but missing the dial, hand, date wheels and gathering. Pallet for the count wheel. The wheel trains run smoothly when pressure is applied and the escapoement operates and the clock strikes (see videos). The bell rings perfectly with a silvery tone. Overall height of clock to top of bell finial and including wooden base 11.2 cm (4 3/8). Overall height of clock to top of finial but excluding wooden base 9.8 cm (3 7/8). Top and bottom plates 8.7 cm x 5 cm (3 7/16 x 2). Height frame excluding finials 6.6 cm (2 5/8). Packed weight 1.26 kg. Size 30 X 23 X 14 cm. Very Rare Early 19th C Gilt Brass Japanese Bracket Or Table Clock Makura Dokei
A very fine and rare early 19. Century gilt brass Japanese bracket / table clock or Makura Dokei in need of restoration. The plated lantern type spring driven movement with balance wheel and verge escapement, the balance with silk suspension. Originally with datework and dial with adjustable hour chapters. Gilt brass case/frame beautifully engraved with foliate sprays and devices. Beautifully turned frame pillars. Rosewood base with convex friese in which is the key drawer. The mechanism is complete but lacks the original dial and datewheels. The striking train is missing only the gathering pallet for the countwheel. A very fine and rare clock but in need of a little careful restoration. Please see images below. At the top of the images below I have included a short video to give you an idea of how the strike mechanism runs. Please allow the video to load before playing it through. In very good but incomplete condition and as seen. The whole clock retains its original gilding in exceptionally good condition. The movement is in very good condition but missing the dial, hand, date wheels and gathering. Pallet for the count wheel. The wheel trains run smoothly when pressure is applied and the escapoement operates and the clock strikes (see videos). The bell rings perfectly with a silvery tone. Overall height of clock to top of bell finial and including wooden base 11.2 cm (4 3/8). Overall height of clock to top of finial but excluding wooden base 9.8 cm (3 7/8). Top and bottom plates 8.7 cm x 5 cm (3 7/16 x 2). Height frame excluding finials 6.6 cm (2 5/8). Packed weight 1.26 kg. Size 30 X 23 X 14 cm.
