RARE Early Antique PEWTER Double Handled EGG CARRIER HOLDER Ornate BIRD

Early Antique Egg Carrier. Presented for your consideration is this early egg carrier or holder. The carrier is made of pewter and features ornately designed handles on the sides as well as the top of the carrier. Top of the carrier has two flaps which open to reveal the removable, two tier egg holder. An ornate leaf pattern is on each of the four sides of the removable carrier and there are a dozen slots for eggs. The carrier easily slides in and out of the holder. The front side of the carrier has a small bird engraved into the middle. This early and hard to find egg carrier would make a wonderful addition to any pewter or kitchen item collection! A fun item to store eggs in! There are two holes in the bottom of the carrier but could be soldered. Flaps are bent inward, but not drastically, and the insert shows some bending on both tiers. Bottom edge of the front and back appears to have been repaired at one point. Typical light wear from age and use. Overall in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. AN EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE AND EXTREMELY RARE 18th CENTURY OLD ORIGINAL EARLY LIGHTING WROUGHT IRON CANDLE HOLDER STAND WITH BURL WOOD BASE. Virtually a one of a kind out of a high end private collection in all original untouched condition. Measures 25 1/4” in height by an approximate 8 3/4” diameter bottom base. Its attributes are a double cup candle holder on a round drip pan forking down to a single shaft having an early center twist. The stem goes into an exquisite burl wood platform base with three rose head nail underneath feet. The authentic rustic primitive character to this is just outstanding and second to none. Early lighting examples like this one are rarely ever seen or offered and i dont believe you will find one quite like this extraordinary piece. A quite rare 19th century primitive original early wrought iron hanging hearth pot holder shelf rack. In excellent original condition it has a superb authentic age appropriate deep early iron surface. It folds flat but when open and hung it measures 18”w x 12 1/4”h x 8 1/2”d.
