Very rare & early edition with ballads of Robin Hood. ROBIN HOOD’S GARLAND: being a complete History of all His merry eploits, and Valiant Fights, wich he, Little John and Will. Scarlet fought on divers Occasions… Printed for James Hodges, at the Looking -Glass, at London-Bridge – around 1740? Or earlier – 94 pages, title-page with two woodcut ills. Leather binding – 15 x 9 cm – this edition contains the early copy known of the song of ” Robin Hood and the Ranger”. First pages a bit frayed. Front cover loose, but can be easily fixed. Spine a bit damaged. Otherwise solid and in very acceptable antiquarian condition. Some handwriting of previous owner on back of frontcover. The garlands added nothing to the substance of the legend but ensured that it continued after the decline of the single broadside ballad…. MORE PICTURES AND INFORMATION CAN BE PROVIDED. “Dracula” by Bram Stoker. 1927 – Very Rare Early Edition. Antique Hardcover Book with Handmade (Facsimile) Dust Jacket 7 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ 354 Pages The dust jacket is a handmade facsimile of the original jacket, made to protect this antique rare book. The boards are in fair condition with some staining on the front and back and wear around the edges. There is a small tear on the top back edge of the binding and the title is smudged. The book is in fair to good condition, free from rips, tears, writing and bends. The front end page has the previous owners name written in pencil and there is a blue number mark on the inside front board. There is separation of the gutter on the title page, but all pages are in tact and there are no loose pages. Page 311 is dog eared on the bottom of the page, all pages are very lightly toned and the book is slightly askew. This is a great and very rare collectible book and a must for all.
