A rare and unique early 18th century longcase clock by John Bates of Kettering.. The clock is around 6 feet tall and the depth (sides) is only 4 and a half inches… The door width is 7 and a half inches, and the dial is 7 and a half inches square. The clock is very primitively made, and has an early verge type alarm with inside striking of the bell… The hood has very unusual wire hinges. This clock must be the earliest Bates of Kettering clock in existence. Hello and welcome to. Depicted in vivid enamel colors. If you think differently or have something else to add to improve my description I would be very happy to hear from you. It has 26 sticks in total. As observed one stick is slightly bent, deformated. And is about to break at the bottom. Side is already broken shown with the white little circle in photo #8 and will have to be welded. Which I did not dare to fix and there are some tiny areas of enamel loss and filigree damage, but you really need to look very carefully to identify the latest. When you unfold the piece you get “blank” areas and you need to manually assist it to get it properly open and same when you fold it back meaning that the system needs some repair or adjustment but nothing is missing. Please see photo #8 and #12 where I marked with a. Circle where you can appreciate the stick which is slightly deformated and about to detach and the little white circle in photo #8 showing the little breakage. The ribbon is not original. The total weight of the piece is 145 grams according to my scale. The item is offered original as is as found without cleaning. Please check out my. 7 1/2″ (19cm) is the height and 13″ (33cm) approximately is the aperture lenght when fully opened/extended. The total weight of the piece is 145 grams. Please look at the 2 dollars note (not included) to compare and get an idea of the size of the item offered. Condition is not the best as observed. One stick is slightly bent, deformated. Since these are very old items, please kindly expect some scratches, minimal deformations, minimal enamel loss, minimal filigree damage and other details normal for antique pieces. RARE Early 19th Century Antique Chinese Blue White Large Porcelain Ginger Jar. This awesome old ginger jar is MASSIVE, and shows a beautiful use of cobalt blue color. This piece is not marked. It is in good antique condition for its age with the lid having a couple of small chips and the lower body of the jar having 1 hairline which can be seen in my photos. There is some interior crazing which can be seen in my photos as well, this is only present on the inside of the jar. 10 tall with a top diameter of 3 3/4 and measures 31 1/4 around. RARE 18TH CENTURY EARLY MEISSEN ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN DOVE PIGEON TUREEN. EXCEPTIONALLY FINE AND RARE EARLY MEISSEN LIDDED SAUCE TUREEN. Presenting a magnificent 18th Century soft paste porcelain tureen and cover naturalistically modelled into the of a nesting dove / pigeon. This exceptional example was produced by the quality German makers, Meissen, circa mid to late 1700s. The beautifully modelled dove is seated upon a basket moulded base with applied shredded clay foliage trimming the top of the nest. This piece is wonderfully finished in naturalistic glazes. This piece is presented in very good antique condition with some exceptionally minor losses to the shredded clay foliage noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. There appears to be a minor old repair to one side of the birds tail which has been professionally done and incredibly hard to spot. We had to take a magnifyer to the piece and even then it was hard to detect. There is a minuscule fleabite sized nibble to the top of the crest upon the birds head and the tiniest rough spot to the tip of the birds beak. There is some internal staining which we have not attempted to bleach out or remove in any way and should be able to be lessened in the new owners preferred manner. Light overall surface crazing mentioned for accuracy. This authentic antique example has survived exceptionally well and presents spectacularly. The unglazed base is beautifully marked with Meissen’s brushed blue crossed swords. This impressive piece stands approx 120mms tall, measures 195mms in length and 78mms in width. Early Meissen examples such as this fine figural tureen are highly desirable and feature in top Museum collections. This stunning piece would make an outstanding addition to any early Meissen, quality antique porcelain or figural tureen collection! Rare Bronze Tiffany Lamp, Early 20th Century. Good original bronze lamp base, marked to underside Tiffany studios, New York, 326. Condition very good with nice patina. A couple of the bun feet have been knocked slightly out of line and the flex entry hole ferrule is damaged, both of which could easily be rectified. The lamp fitting thread has worn so is loose so would require a little more attention but still repairable. 270mm high to top of shade holders. Would take a shade of approx.
