Antique Cast Iron Skillet Gate Mark Early 1800’s Ornate Handle Spout Rare #7. Outstanding Early to Mid-19th century crude casting, iron skillet with early foundry long gate mark, unusual single pour spout, highly embossed size number 7 and fancy molded handle. Top reinforced rim measures 9 inches in diameter, standing 1 7/8 inches tall. Base measures 7 3/4 inches in diameter. It measures 14 inches from the end of its handle, across the pan. Its weight is 2 pounds 12 ounces. This is a well cared for skillet in excellent condition. There is no sign of warping. There are a few small chips (Shown in photo), but no cracks or rust. Original paint either Kenton. Cast iron high box coal truck with driver. I say “or” because at least one person has said it is a Hubley do appreciate the input! Ither way, it is a great piece of nostalgia. It is approximately 6.5″ wide by 3.5″ tall. The paint is fire engine red with gold trim on the lettering, the driver’s cap, the steering wheel, the radiator cap and the headlamps. The driver has a painted white face, It has a split frame and the original rubber tires. The piece has nicks in the paint commensurate with age and use, but no major dings, dents or other damage. The tires do have some cracking again commensurate with age and use, but are intact and roll smoothly. I have described the truck to the best of my ability and provided many photos for your review. Here is a Cast iron SS White articulating wall lamp bracket from the early 1900s. Great wall lamp and rewired with a new cloth wire. Both cast iron pieces move left and right. I haven’t been able to find another piece like this anywhere online. Would be great for any light or dental/medical collector. Originally when found there was a hairline crack in the top piece of main bracket. I had it professionally welded and repaired only about a quarter inch of the whole top piece. It is not noticeable now. Painted the small area in a flat black to try and match the rest of bracket. Also, liquid welded a brass socket thread at tip of arm for socket. This is to keep light socket in place. Comes with a early holophane lamp shade as well. Light is in working condition. See photos, ask any questions needed.
