RARE EARLY HADRILL HORSTMANN PROTOTYPE ROLLER LAMP. 1940s INDUSTRIAL ANGLEPOISE

ULTRA RARE PROTOTYPE HADRILL HORSTMANN ROLLER LAMP. Designed by Fredjo Horstmann, this lamp dates from the 1940s. London stamp (not the later Godalming stamp 1950s onwards). This is a prototype lamp with extended base (this is a large desk lamp not a floor lamp). The lamp has been professionally polished to a mirror finish on the base, shade, fork and counterweight. The shade itself has retained its shape, but there are a couple of minor dents and scratches/scuffs (difficult to photograph due to the reflective surface). Please be aware that the lamp is over 70 years old. It has had a working life and it therefore has imperfections. Contact me if you would like additional photographs. New chrome bulb holder and re-wired in 3-core, grey vintage flex. Not currently PAT tested, so you are advised to get it checked. Fully extended the lamps stands at approx 1.1m in height. Dugdills Lamp. Rare Early Cog Wheel Lamp With Base. Large Industrial Anglepoise

LARGE DUGDILLS COG LAMP WITH BASE. Cog wheel joints and heavy “DUGDILLS PATENT” cast base. Bare metal arms and shade. Fully extended the lamp measures 1.1m to top joint (1.3m with shade tilted upwards). Rewired with vintage flex and fitted with a new chrome bulb holder. Fully working, but not currently PAT tested (advisable to get old lamps checked). The bare metal arms and base have an aged patina. They have been lightly cleaned and waxed. Vintage Herbert Terry 1227 Anglepoise Lamp in Rare Yellow Colour. Early Version with Metal Fittings and Rolled Edge Shade and Original Lamp holder. The lamp has new wiring and is working. The shade is very good for age, some very minor dents and bits of paint missing. The base section does have damage and has been repaired with epoxy by the looks. Please see photos for the condition. RARE ADMIRALTY DUGDILLS LAMP. Wall or desk mounting lamp. Nikel-plated brass clam shell shade. Admiralty patent to the base (AP9101). Dates from 1920s to 1930s. Rewired with black vintage flex and fitted with an inline switch. Aged patina to the stripped metal arms and base. The shell shade is a little tarnished with a couple of minor creases and areas of loss to the plating (revealing brass beneath). Measures 95cm, when fully extended. 3/three Step Anglepoise 1227 Lamp. Rare Complete Early Model. Original Condition

RARE 3 STEP ANGLEPOISE BY HERBERT TERRY & SONS. Crabtree bakelite bulb holder. Completely untouched, original condition. Fully working, but not currently PAT tested (advisable to get old lamps checked). Rewired with black vintage flex. Earthed at the earthing point on the lower fork. For its age it holds its position well. Tarnishing/rusting to springs, spacer and brackets. Paint loss to the shade, arms and base. Also additional paint splashes to the base (the lamp has been in a workshop for its entire life). The shade yolk is not held in place by the shade bolt (this bolt looks to be a replacement). The interior arm of the shade yolk has been broken and therefore falls a little short of the retaining bolt. This doesn’t affect the function/positioning of the lamp. The inside of the shade has been painted at some point, most of which has worn away. I have left what remains, as I prefer 3 steps to be left in whatever condition they are found.
