WELCOME TO COAST TO COAST ANTIQUES! Early American kerosene lamp with an acorn shaped spiral latticino font, decorative brass column, and a double step marble base. It was probably made by the Boston Sandwich Glass Co. Age – Circa 1860’s. Size – Approximately 13 + 1/8 inches tall by 5 + 3/8 inches at the widest point of the font by 1 inch across the opening of the font. Condition – Age appropriate, a blemish on the font that occurred in the making, some tarnish on the bronze, and some minor chipping on the base, see photos for compete assessment. Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a very unusual antique Pietra Dura hard stone inlaid on marble obelisk. This nice obelisk is made of black marble and features a panel with Pietra Dura hard stone inlay decoration with beautiful coloration in the stones. Measures 10 5/8″ high with the square base measuring 3 5/8″ in diameter. Weights 2.6 pounds. This gorgeous obelisk is in excellent Estate condition with only some small nicks in the marble as expected with items of this age. The flaws are minor no-harm nicks around the bottom edges otherwise the piece is in excellent Estate condition. The Pietra Dura is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. We actually have a matched pair of these lovely obelisk, however, this listing is for one only with the second one available at the same price if you wish to display as a pair. Please note that the second one is also in very good to excellent Estate condition similar in wear as the one listed above, however, the tower section of the obelisk is slightly loose and needs to be tightened which we will leave to the new owner. Century early bed rope tightener, probably hickory, great hand-worked body and whittled T-handle. 13.5 long, 2.5×1.5, 92 offset handle. Condition great untouched original surface. 733h Sleep tight and dont let the bed bugs bite developed from the days when these were used. To get a straw mattress flat and without sag, you needed to occasionally tighten the woven rope under-support with one of these. Contact me for confirmation or additional options. An outstanding, characterful & rare early to mid 19th century pine one piece corner cabinet having two panelled doors both with working locks and keys, two fixed shelves in the top part and one fixed shelf in the bottom part, original hinges, original mouldings to the top, middle, bottom and both sides and original back panels with period steel banding. Dimensions: 102cm wide; 60cm deep;187cm high; 73.5cm from rear corner to front (along wall). In good strong condition, does have many marks and imperfections commensurate with age but these only add to its tremendous character. Just been hand prepared and waxed to a beautiful colour and finish. Customer collection now possible under the recently revised regulations. DELIVERIES DURING THE CURRENT PANDEMIC. Is this rare straw splitter. Used to split straw for plaiting. Dates to the early part of the 19th century. Made from a dark wood with five holes for cutting. All 5 holes would have originally had fins to cut the straw into different thicknesses. This splitter can split straw into 3, 4, 5 and 6 strands. The fins are missing from one of the holes.
