Description: Here is a rare early 19th century Spode floral porcelain basket. Handpainted with floral sprays on a white moulded basket weave ground with relief moulded flowers. Gilt decoration to the top rim and handles. Impressed to base with a circle with a x to the centre. Dates from 1790 to 1820. Measures: 8.9 cms wide x 6.5 cms high. Condition: One of the moulded flowers has a small chip to one of the petals (see photo 14). It has age related gilt ware to the handles. There is a tiny small black mark behind one of the moulded flowers. There is also some grit in the porcelain. All other countries please contact me for a quote.
