Wonderful, primitive and unusual horse pull toy with metal wheels. The wheels still turn making the metal spheres clang but not perfectly. The horse shows some wear. He is missing one of his glass eyes and his tail and has areas of wear and loss to the fabric on the body. Measures about 14 long. First of this type Ive had! Antique HEROIN embossed QUACK MEDICINE bottle. Large, early hand blown, RARE

Amber-colored cylin der-shaped antique patent’quack’ bottle that o riginally contained a HEROIN LACED medicine. This is a very early hand B lown I nto M old bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it back well over 100 years old. Bottle embossed : ” Glyco – Heroin /’SMITH’ “. Base of bottle embossed : MARTIN H. / CHEMISTS / NEW YORK. Condition : Bottle has overall stain and wear, has a shallow surfaced bubble, but really there is nothing specifically wrong with it, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. PLEASE see pictures for better idea of overall condition. Age : A hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. T hese bottle contained a patent medicine and one of the main ingredients in it was Heroin, Glyico Heroin. Heroin was used over a century ago as an ingredient in cough syrup, to suppress the cough and suppressing the discomfort that is associated with it. Yet it did much more than that as patients came to find out that they kept using the syrup long after the cough was gone. As they say,’Caution, may be habit forming’. To say the least! Heroin is one of the most addictive substances known to mankind. This is one of the very few antique bottles that we know of that actually has the word ” HEROIN ” embossed in the glass which makes it quite appealing. It is not a commonly found bottle and these are getting increasingly hard to f ind , especially in this PRISTINE CLEAN condition, check it out! Antique Early & Rare Lecoultre & Brechet Key Wind Music Box C. 1848 (Watch Video)

Here we have an early and rare Lecoultre & Brechet 6 air musical box. This box was crafted in Switzerland in 1848 and is an excellent example of a mid 19th century musical box. Like all of the early high quality boxes, the mechanism is mounted on a solid brass bedplate. The mainspring is in good order and powers the 6 air movement with ease. The Geneva stop-work is present (both male and female) and is working correctly making it impossible for over-winding to take place. The cylinder pins are in excellent shape. The comb has all of its teeth and tooth tips, although there have been a few tooth repairs carried out at some point at the treble end. This has been professionally done however and the comb is still very much in tune. The box still has its original tune sheet after 171 years and is in very good condition. The box comes complete with its original winding key. The start/stop and change/repeat controls work as they should, as does the instant stop third lever. The case is in very good condition inside and out and has that warmth and charm that only these early keywind boxes seem to possess. There is slight warping to the lid and I think the end flap may have been replaced at some point, but it has been expertly done and is an excellent match. The case measures 15 1/2 inches wide by 6 inches deep by 5 inches high. Please see below to watch a video of the music box playing and remember, Musical boxes always sound far richer in person. Antique Early 19th Century Beatrice D’Este Oil Portrait Rare Family Crescent

Original circa 1800’s, Baked Ceramic, with a very highly detailed Oil painting of Beatrice D’Este. At this time the artist is unknown. Backside of ceramic has original lines from the antique firing process used to form the one piece mold. This piece is one solid baked mold, with the family crest built in. The painting itself is highly detailed, and does have some crazing. There are a couple of chips that could use repair. The piece is approx. 15.25″ tall, and 9.25″ wide. It has the original hardware hanger. This is a must have for any collector. This beautiful painting was found some years back at an estate sale in Virginia. We can’t remember much about the elderly woman who lived there, but that she was French, and moved to the US in the 1940’s after WW2. Please see all pictures, any questions feel free to ask. Antique French, Rare Chandelier, Empire Period, Gilt Bronze, Early 19th Century. Chandelier says to “the Antique”. French bronze work with double patina, gilded bronze and brown patina bronze. Cassolette model with 6 sconces simulated by ” cornucopia ” supported by female masks. The bottom of the cassolette is decorated with palmettes and a central bud , the top of the cassolette is finished by a flame. The whole is maintained by 3 chains united by a crown decorated with a bud and palmettes. Bronze work is of very high quality. This chandelier is rare because it is vintage, circa 1810 , a lot of Empire chandelier dates from the end of the 19th century or the 20th century. The model that we offer dates from the early 19th century, the bronzes are gilding original (it is used in places), the brown patina of the rest is also original (it also has a lot of wear) but the whole is original which is rare. We can if you wish to carry out the electrification, but you can also use the chandelier in decoration with candles, as at the time. It is a very beautiful object, entirely in solid bronze. Height: (76cm) 29.92 in. Diameter (46cm) 18.11 in. Weight (8.07kg) 17.79 lbs. Please look at the photos closely, they are an integral part of the description. This is a nice vintage NUMBER 2 Stanley handplane. This also is a early plane with the original finish and hasnt been cleaned but Iron is used and worn as pictures show. The condition is good a few scratches on the bottom. This came from a estate of a retired Chicago Vocational teacher that retired in 1958. He had a awesome collection of hand tools and was a true artist and a freind that will be missed.
