An Extraordinarily Rare Set Of Eight Lambeth. Dating to between 1725 and 1760. Tin-glazed, each decorated with. Stylized rose on buff London clay earthenware body. Many sherds with this rosette design from the Lambeth site. Very few intact tiles remain, however. Both Sherds and the V&A’s. Are illustrated and described in. 1973 by Anthony Ray. Impeccable provenance: Louis Lipski; gifted to R. And thence by descent. Victoria and Albert Museum Accession No. 5-1955 for an identical tile gifted to the museum. Charleston in 1955 – a ninth from the set. Louis Lipsky was a famous collector of English and Irish delftware and. The author of the much-sought delft bible. Assistant Keeper of the Department of Ceramics at the V&A. Renowned scholar and author of numerous books on ceramics and glass. The tiles are in good salvaged condition. There are edge chips and glaze losses. One has a missing corner. Please examine the photographs carefully. To assess the condition of the individual tiles. 12.5cm (8) sq. The photographs constitute part of the description.

Rare Amazing Antique Tibetan Carved Wood Temple Altar Scroll Box Early 1800's
An antique Tibetan Buddhism intricately and beautifully hand carved wooden temple box. With one side having two carved dragons and the other side a phoenix bird. There are Tibetan symbols and Himalayan vegetal scrolling carved throughout. I believe this box was used for scrolls or kept on an altar. It dates to approximately the early 19th century, but possibly much earlier. It is a very old box. The box appears to be carved from one piece of wood with some piercing showing through on the dragon side (please see photos). It measures: 11 1/4 in tall (to the top of lid) x 7 in wide x 13 in long. The height of the box without the lid is 9 inches. It weighs 12 lbs. It is in good antique condition. It is very old and has expected inconsistencies relating to it’s age. The only issue is there is a piece of wood on one of the top side rims which looks like it was added later? It is also very old. It sits a bit higher than the rest of the top rim which causes the lid to not sit completely flat on top (please see photos). A truly rare and unique one of a kind collectible piece showcasing the rich culture of Tibet. Please message me with any questions and thanks for looking.

CIRCA 1890’S THIS WELCH / DUNLOP PUMP IS ULTRA RARE. SEVEN AND THREE QUATER INCHES LONG (197mm). A DUST CAP COVER ROTATES TO ALLOW THE ADAPTOR TUBE TO BE SCREWED IN. THE ADAPTER SITS INSIDE A CARRIER THAT PULLS FROM THE HANDLE. THE ADAPTER TUBE CAN BE EASILY RESTORED. THE WELCH – DUNLOP TYPE SCRIPT IS NOW FEINT. USUALLY STRAPPED WITH 2 LEATHER BELTS TO YOUR BICYCLE, OR CARRIED SEPARATELY. FINDING ANOTHER WILL DIFFICULT. Post to all countries. On posting day I will send tracking details. RARE EARLY ROBERT MOUSEMAN THOMPSON TEA / DRINKS TRAY WITH 2 SIGNATURE MICE – 1940s. A superb hand carved Robert’Mouseman’ Thompson tea tray, dating to the 1940s. These rectangular shaped trays are very highly sought after by collectors as they are quite rare to the market, normally they are kidney shaped. It has 2 well carved early signature mice either end of the tray. It is a beautiful dark oak colour with wonderful patina. It has also been hand adzed to the top as well as all around the rim. It is in very good condition with just some minor wear to the rim (please see pictures) and some water staining to the top and bottom. Other than that, it just has wear consistent with the age of the piece, which is to be expected as it is now approximately 80 years old. A lot of these early trays are heavily stained and warped due to drinks spillages. This one is in nice condition, a good example. It measures 55.5 cm (including mice handles) x 31.2 cm. Buyers are welcome to collect, I live just a few miles north of Durham. I have quite a few Mouseman pieces for sale, including a bespoke lamp, and an early stool – please see my other items.
