OK JUST TAKE A LOOK AT MY PHOTOS AND IF YOU CAN RESIST THIS CHARMING EARLY ORIGINAL ANTIQUE PULL TOY THEN YOU ARE STRONGER THAN I! This is the BEST of these type platform toys that i have ever personally seen or collected, my FAVORITE platform toy! Its rare to have a nursing little calf along with the big cow! I LOVE this toy! Possibly German although no marking under the red painted wooden base which measures approx 10 long. The cow stands approx 6 tall not counting the platform. The metal wheels are approx 1 diameter. All match and all are original. It is very old, all original, the original dust comes along for free! I dont clean anything and this might benefit from a pro restoration or even a little bit of home amateur TLC, but even all original as it is, its still an amazing antique toy for display. Very Good Antique Tavern Clock. Rare 2 Train/ Striking. Quite a rare clock, similar in principle to an antique longcase clock but designed to attach to a wall. You see more of these in single train (non-striking) format but the two train ones are rarer. A beautiful piece and very impressive you can get an idea of the size compared to some of my other clocks in the pictures. 14 round dial, the dome-topped case measuring 40 high by 18 maximum width. Actually more practical than a longcase clock in that it can be mounted according to ceiling height. Excellent quality case with flame mahogany figuring to the front. No name on the dial but falseplate stamped Finnemore, Birmingham which dates it to the first half of the 1800s. The movement is similar to typical 8-day longcase movements of the period but with different gearing because of the shorter weight-fall. The smaller line barrels can be seen in the pictures. Original steel hands in typical early 19. The clock has been serviced and is fully working. Complete with weights, pendulum, winder and trunk door key (working lock). A rare pair of early No. 71 desk lamps designed by Eileen Gray for Jumo. An icon of the Machine Age, the lamps date from the 1930s/40s. Original dark grey paintwork with chrome arms and accents (the most sought after colour combination). Both lamps are early examples as evidenced by the flick switch and not the rocker/paddle switch found on the later lamps. Both lamps have all original wiring, including 2 pin plugs. You will need a 3 pin adapter. One lamp uses a single tube bulb, while the other has two separate bulb holders (see pic 12). You are probably advised to get them rewired by a professional and have new identical bulb holders fitted. The lamps are in great condition for their age, but there are obviously signs of age-related wear. The chrome is bright and shiny, with only a few minor areas of pitting. The enamel paintwork has some areas of loss (see pics 9 to 11 as examples). One lamp has a small crease/dent near the base (see pic 9). The movement on the lamps is good (one is a little more stiff than the other) and they hold their positions well. These are iconic lamps and if you are viewing this listing you will probably know how rare it is to find a matching early pair. The lamps are large and heavy. This rare and handsome piece remains in varying condition (please see condition report for specifics and exceptions), bears no monogram or erasure, and lays in wait for the collector! I have had so many inquiries about the hallmark. I took this to Skinner Auctions and they immediately identified it as James Geddy. They do not do authentications unless you pay. I have finally located their source. Many have not because it is under the name James Geddes-same person son of gunsmith James Geddes of Williamsburg Va.
