RARE ANTIQUE FRENCH CALENDAR CLOCK early 19thC SWEEP SECONDS & PIN PALLET ESC. Rare French calendar clock c1810 offered in good working order and good condition. This large clock with long duration mechanism has 5 hands to the dial showing date, day, hours, minutes and seconds. The magnificent mahogany case of ziggurat form with ebonised sections, applied ormolu ornamentation and a parquet type floor to the interior. The unmarked mechanism is large and runs for over 3 weeks. With pin pallet escapement and large ormolu sunburst pendulum seen swinging in the opening below the dial. Weighs 8.6kg before wrapping. The large case stands 22″ (56cm) high, 15.75″ (40cm) wide and 6.5 (16.5cm) deep. The large dial 7 (18cm) in diameter.
