Here is a beautiful and rare, early long-faced French Schmitt bebe in tiny cabinet size from early mid 1880’s. She is about 14 tall and is marked size 5 with shield on back of her head. She has perfect pressed bisque head with NO repairs, chips, cracks, hairlines, wig pulls or damage of any kind. She has dark blue paperweight eyes. Her painting is delicate and fair in color and she resembles an early EJ Jumeau but with more subtle painting. She has a dreamy expression and darling in this rare small size. Her body is fixed wrist wood and composition Schmitt body with flat butt. It is not marked but is definitely a Schmitt body. She has her original cork pate, blonde mohair wig, antique socks and shoes, and is wearing an antique will cream color mariner outfit that has a few moth holes. Of course there is a matching hat.
