RARE ANTIQUE BOHEMIA ROYAL DUX FIGURAL CERAMIC CLAM SHELL GIRL NYMPH ART NOUVEAU. This very special 16 figurine is made by ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA. There are many models I have seen in my research but few come near to this beauty, especially in height because of the raised twin pedestal. The alluring nymph – woman is set on the edge of a beautiful conch shell which has all the characteristics of a natural shell with the colour and the curled edges. She is very appealingly leaning over making a fine picturesque stance. The shape of her head and hair is especially lovely with the hand painted features on her face especially fine. Her clothes cover her hardly concealing her beautiful shape and drape, melding seamlessly with the coral pillars. I have yet to find one so tall.. Set on what looks like a coral with flora and fauna. MEASUREMENTS: HEIGHT 16″ x WIDTH 10 1/2 x 7 1/2″ DEEP. CONDITION: NO DAMAGE OR CHIPS. Commensurate with age. I FOUND THIS ON GOOGLE.. The Dux (Duchcov) factory was established in 1853. Seven years passed without apparent successes. The firm just produced utility porcelain. In 1860 it was bought by Eduard Eichler. The new owner named it Eduard Eichler Thonwaren-Fabrik. The factory started to imitate designs by Copenhagen, Worcester and Sevrés. They were succesful winning even Silver Medal at the Paris exhibition. Eduard Eichler died in 1887. Next three years the company was run by his widow. Her son-in-law, Wilhelm Hans, bought it in 1890. He further developed the factory and in 1897 tarnsformed it into a stock corporation Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur A. The company was rewarded the Grand Prix prize at the world exhibition in St. The company had difficulties to continue production during WWI. They weren’t able to keep prewar quality. Another blow for the company was the Great Depression. After World War II German workers had to leave Czechoslovakia. In 1992 the name of the factory in Duchcov was changed to Porcelánová Manufaktura Royal Dux Bohemia A. Since 1997 it is a part of the “Ceský Porcelán” group. I try to describe all the items as accurately and as honestly as possible, and I always include photos or scans of the actual items. My items are usually vintage or antique, very rarely new, and condition will sometimes reflect this with minor marks, wear on gilding etc. Anything major such as cracks chips or major loss of gilding etc will be pointed out in the description and shown on the photos. If you are still unsure as to the condition etc. International buyers please note. Also take a look at my other items for more Asian, cloisonné, Glass, Antiques, Silver, Bronze, Copper, China, Horn, and many other collectables. NOTE: listing will be removed from sale shortly before the end time just to stop it auto re-listing! If you don’t see the item you were looking for in my listings please ask, it may be still available. Antique Scandinavian GEORG JENSEN Sterling Silver BROOCH/Pin #97. An very early design by GJ himself, of which this is one of the very early ones – produced between 1910-25 so may even have been hand-made by GJ himself! With a history that spans more than 100 years, the Georg Jensen brand represents quality craftsmanship and combines both timeless and contemporary aesthetic design, manufacturing lifestyle products ranging from hollowware to watches, jewellery and items for the home and office. The philosophy of Georg Jensen himself was to create democratic designs possessing both functionality and beauty. His artistic talent and superior craftsmanship, combined with his capability to identify and support new design talent, was the foundation on which he built Georg Jensen in Copenhagen in 1904. The same ethos continues today. GJ Marks used 1910-25. 43 x 43mm (1.7 x 1.7). Very good- nothing above the normal lightest scuffs of use – would be considered excellent antique condition. Please see my other account at 16yssm or 15yssm. YOU ARE HELPING TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT! IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ! And whilst doing so I hope to transfer my experiences, good and bad, into giving my buyers first class service, so you will want to come back for more, time & again! I try to give accurate information on the items that I sell including makers, stamps, style, dates etc. These are my assessment of the items based on research and I try to be as accurate as possible but I won’t be 100% of the time! I try to take good photos of all markings but can have a bad day! , so if the specific details/interpretation of marks are important to you please do check them yourself. I will always try to give important details/measurements. I will usually answer within 24hrs. Hallmarks/other markings/labels will be photographed & identified, if possible, to the best of my ability. I would like to thank the creators of the following websites which I regularly use in Hallmark & Makers Mark Identification. I make every effort to upload clear pictures. Some under high magnification, especially to show hallmarks and details or defect/damage or repair. But (even on new items) this can makes even the slightest manufacturing imperfections & specks of dust appear much more prominent even though they are often not visible to the naked eye! So please don’t be put off – you can just rest assured that I do not hide any problems! So if you are unsure whether something is a defect or camera/lighting effect just ask, though I will have usually mentioned any major defect/damage in the description. Any items/embellishments used in presenting a listing eg. Jewellery boxes; mats/cloths; jewellery/scarves or additional items of clothing are for display purposes only, unless expressly itemised in the listing. I know it is really annoying when an item is not the colour you expect: Colours can vary in different light even natural light doesn’t always guarantee the correct colour! Purple, when actually it maybe plum! So I will edit photos to make colours as accurate as possible. I may also use flash or lighten/darken photos during editing in order to highlight detail (especially necessary on dark clothing, but can alter the colour), & I will note the photo(s) closest to the true colour if need be. Only sell items that I would be happy receiving myself! Uyers should appreciate my items are not new/vintage so expect signs of use. Please be assured I will always try to accurately & objectively describe the item & any faults to the best of my ability, & photograph them in the most honest way I can (including close-ups), warts & all! The combination of description + photographs should allow you to form your own objective opinion of the beauty, details. NB Don’t be put off by the mention of faults/defects – it in no way means the item is aesthetically displeasing or broken, unless I specifically say that! Also remember magnified images look much worse than you can see by naked eye. Clothing & shoes etc. Will be clean but may be creased from storage. All damage/signs of use taken into account whether expected for age/use or not (I’ll let you decide on the latter). (works for clothing/shoes and contemporary/vintage/antique items). In new/unused (with or without tag/original box) or virtually new looking condition (can occur even in vintage/antique items if only ever stored/ displayed). Barely used with minimal signs of wear, in sound overall condition. Has signs of use, light-moderate signs of wear but doesn’t detract from the piece. Signs of regular use, will show signs of wear, slight damage +/or good repair (will be specified in the listing). Item is showing significant signs or use, or is damaged, poorly repaired or in obvious need of repair (will be specified in the listing). For recycle/scrap or significant repair. Please pay within 3 days. I do not aim to make a profit on P+P. & sometimes even subsidised! (Be assured your item will still be fully protected). I don’t charge for packaging or time or petrol! Each item will be well packed to sufficiently protect them, but packaging will mostly be recycled to save costs & landfill. I will always obtain Proof of Posting. Items (> 2Kg or > 90cm) will be sent by the most economical service at the time. Your item will usually arrive within 6-20 days. As long as you. (I will let you know in the rare event of it being over 5/7). If you need something urgently, pay for the faster option ie. Offers need to be reasonably close to the asking price. To have any chance of being considered. Disparaging offers are not acceptable & will be ignored. Repeat offenders will be blocked! I would have thought this was obvious, but apparently not! So don’t insult with offers under this! So there is only room for serious offers. You pay so I can make adjustments. RARE Case of LOST POST. I thoroughly check all items prior to listing and will note any defects in the description. If there is a. So that you won’t be out of pocket! Please do not return anything without first allowing me to review the discrepancy. If there are any suspicions of fraud your name will be passed on to the. National ACTION FRAUD Squad. I would be grateful if you could take a minute to leave feedback as this reassures me that the item has arrived safely & and you are happy with it. A Due to misreading the listing or wishful thinking on your behalf yep – I’ve done it! B Under sellers control – or nothing I/they could have possibly done about it! C Is there anything I can do to put things right? Message me to see. I will of course leave feedback for you as well once I know all is well. So please look at what else I have listed &. So you can check back regularly! From a smoke free home, but we do have 4 beautiful rescue moggies – so be aware parcels may occasionally have a. Of a short silky cat hair, or even one of my, or my daughters’, long hairs which seem to get everywhere however careful we are! – please don’t take offence! For their CYMRIC range, fully assay marked for 1899. This is a rare early example and this design rarely comes up in auctions. Would make a wonderful gift or addition to a collection. It has a gorgeous and stunning design of fern leaves with a textured surface which catches the light. One of the earliest CYMRIC designs, it appears in the first CYMRIC catalogue of 1899/1900 – number 4 on the page of buttons (last photo). This beautiful leaf design typifies Art Nouveau’s love of the natural world. Specific designers for Liberty and Co. Were not advertised and crucial early records were lost, but it is known that Archibald Knox contributed many of the designs for CYMRIC silver and enamel jewellery at this time. Other designers for Liberty included Bernard Cuzner, Jessie King, Oliver Baker, Charles Voysey and David Veasey. In good antique condition, marked L&Co in the lozenge mark for Liberty, and fully assay marked with Birmingham anchor, lion passant for Sterling silver, date letter z for 1899. See my other auctions for more rare CYMRIC buttons including a rare boxed set of six. All my pieces are original and not reproduction. RARE EARLY 20TH CENTURY ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU’PEACOCK’ DESIGN, HAND. Early 20th century antique Art Nouveau hand-blown, decorated art glass. 9″ Height x 3 ½” Width x 1 Rim Diameter. A true period, authentic, original Art Nouveau piece of hand-blown, tooled art glass, with pontil mark (scar) on the base plate. It features plastic, very physical, variegated, raised surfaces, with flowing fern-like, organic forms, that at once resemble and remind one of flowing seaweed in the underwater currents of the sea or the leaves of ferns, softly moving in the breeze underneath a forest of tall, protective conifers. The vase has a natural, hand-blown, asymmetrical organic form, that impresses with its nearly frozen liquid state. This is an extraordinary piece of antique, period Art Nouveau glass that is not interrupted by hairline cracks, flea-bites, abrasions or scuffs on the edge of its fluted top or on its exterior sidewalls. It has magnificent, semi-transparent to semi-opaque, translucent surfaces, which showcase putty white, olive and creams set against a gorgeous semi-transparent, rich cobalt blue of the glass body of the vase. This is one killer piece of Art Nouveau period, antique glass. Not a more recent facsimile but the real deal. Found on the North Shore of Massachusetts and estate fresh. It was previously covered with dust and sediment and only very carefully cleaned with baby shampoo and tepid water and then gently dried with a soft cotton towel. Amazing figuration, color and surfaces make this a superlative, unforgettable piece of hand-blown period glass. Very Good to Excellent overall antique condition. We feature a growing selection of Oriental, Chinese and Ethnic antiques. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is a very rare and early vase by Alfred Stellmacher, made a few years before founding “Amphora”. It is in the Jugendstil style, made in Turn-Teplitz, and features a matte glazed single handled jug bears incised decoration in the form of trees, above gold square panels which depict fish and birds. Stamped “Stellmacher Teplitz” and impressed “05-14″ on the underside Height: 10. This piece was likely crafted between 1890 – 1895, and is in the Jugendstil (German/Austrian Art Nouveau) style. Stellmacher (with others) founded Riessner, Stellmacher and Kessel Amphora Porcelain Works (RStK), better known as Amphora, in 1892. Logically, the mark on this piece should predate the formation of this company by a few years, although precise use of the years associated with this mark are unknown. The piece is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, damage, or loss. There are some areas of imperfection in the glazes and designs i. Enamels dripping below their associated area, etc. , but nothing distracting or significant. This quote is for the Continental U. International Buyers Please Note.
