Straight from a Massachusetts doctor’s personal collection to you is this just absolutely fantastic, and you don’t have to love and appreciate antique and vintage Ame ri can advertising to see that this early 20th century Vaseline Preparations color lithographed enamel tin upright early mercantile store display, with various color product tubes pictured on the front door of the case, is one big, bad, lean and mean piece of Ame ri can early advertising. Antique Early Georgian glass RARE Cruciform decanter serving bottle c 1720

On offer from my own collection. Rare original early Cruciform decanter or serving bottle c 1720. They were closed using a cork not a glass stopper, and the idea was that having more body area from the shape, the contents would cool quicker when placed on ice. They were said to be uses for cider or champagne. This one having a v section string rim similar to an onion wine bottle, and re-fired type pontil. Good used condition no chips or cracks, but has had professional restoration to the lip at some time in its life, but does not detract nice job. Height 20.5 cm 9.5 cm across base both ways. Added 23/02/21 The chip like shape in the lip is not a chip, just a fold in the glass or air bubble not a problem not broken the surface. Only some one asked that question today. I WILL BE LISTING OTHER EARLY GLASSES FROM MY COLLECTION OVER THE COMING MONTHS, SO LOOK OUT FOR SOME BARGAINS. Antique Infill Bronze / Brass Smoothing Plane Rare Early/ Mid 1800s L 7

Interesting plane probably from mid 1800s. Early infill plane of the type made by Slater, Spiers and Norris. It has a heavy cast bronze body with hardwood infill, but the way of securing the blade looks back to older wooden planes. There is a substantial wooden wedge, no adjustment mechanism, and no metal bridge to support the blade. Instead it is held by lugs cast in the sides of the body. The plane is in good condition generally with dust and marks of age and use. There is a crack in the wood infill at the back which probably goes right through along the grain, please see the last 4 photos. Rare Pats Pending 2 Step Anglepoise 1227. Perforated Shade. Early Fork. Yellow

RARE 2 STEP ANGLEPOISE 1227 BY HERBERT TERRY & SONS. First edition of the 1227 2 Step (PATS PENDING). Dates from the late 1930s. 3 part fork with lower earth. The lamp is a shed find. As such the chrome arms, springs etc, were badly rusted. The lamp was been taken apart and cleaned. Removing the rust, has revealed that much of the chrome on the arms and fork has been lost. What remains, is peeling/flaking. The chrome could easily be removed if you wished. The lower, centre arm has a small hole in it (probably caused by corrosion). The paintwork is pale yellow in colour. There are a couple of chips to the paint on the shade, which reveals blue underneath. The yellow paint is aged and cracked. The shade has some chips/scuffs. Rusting/tarnishing to springs, bolts, spacers, etc. Fully working, but not currently PAT tested (advisable to get old lamps checked). Rewired with black, vintage flex and fitted with a chrome bulb holder. Earthed at the earthing point on the fork. Please be aware that, this is a vintage item and not perfect. Antique Early Victorian Australian Opal Ring Rare And Incredible. I think where words fail me, pictures will speak volumes for this stone. A gorgeous and large Victorian opal set in a silver pinched setting was likely once part of a magnificent river necklace of similar opals – can you imagine the impact that would’ve had on a Victorian lady’s neck? This stone is magical and full of life. Every angle reveals flashes of reds, blues, greens, and oranges and in almost any light. This is no wallflower. Some opals only showcase their colours at one or two angles – not this one. A huge finger presence measuring at 25mm x 15mm x 5mm, approximately 10ct. Although a sizeable stone, opals tend to take on a subtlety that cannot be matched with other stones so this is a versatile piece; able to be dressed up or down. Full hallmarks on the inside of the shank for 9k. This was done sometime in its history and I do not want to replace it. Opal is stable and secure in the setting.
