A HALLMARKED EARLY MARIUS HAMMER 925 GILDED SILVER AND ENAMEL COLLAR NECKLACE AND BROOCH PARURE. THIS EXTREMELY RARE AND EARLY PARURE SET WAS PRODUCED BY RENOWNED NORWEGIAN SILVERSMITH MARIUS HAMMER AROUND 1890 IN BERGEN. SUPPLIED IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX MARKED HENRIK OPHEIM, JUVELER & GULDSMED, BERGEN. THE PARURE CONSISTS OF A GILDED SILVER COLLAR NECKLACE FORMED WITH INDIVIDUAL FILIGREE FLORAL PLAQUES LINKED TOGETHER. THE CENTRE OF EACH PLAQUE IS ENAMELLED IN BLUE AND WHITE TO FORM THE CENTRE OF A FLOWER. THE COLLAR IS FASTENED WITH A SIMPLE BUT SECURE HOOK AND EYE. THE MATCHING GILDED SILVER BROOCH CONSISTS OF THREE FLORAL PLAQUES ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER WITH BLUE AND WHITE ENAMELLED CENTRES WITH TWO SMALLER WHITE ENAMELLED BUTTERFLY SHAPED PLAQUES INBETWEEN. THE BROOCH IS SECURED BY A SOLID PIN AND C CLASP. THE PARURE IS IN VERY GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION. THE SILVER GILDING TO THE FRONT OF THE COLLAR NECKLACE IS IN EXTREMELY GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY SOME SMALL AREAS OF DARKENING TO THE BACK COMMENSURATE WITH AGE. THE ENAMELLED CENTRES ARE ALSO IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, THE ONLY LOSS BEING ONE SMALL BLUE PETAL ON ONE FLORAL PLAQUE. THIS IS ONLY APPARENT ON CLOSE INSPECTION, AND UNDER HIGH MAGNIFICATION LOOKS AS IF IT COULD HAVE BEEN A MANUFACTURING FAULT. THE BROOCH IS IN GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION HAVING SUFFERED SOME LOSS OF GILDING AND DARKENING OF THE SILVER TO THE THREE SILVER PLAQUES, PARTICULARLY TO THE BACK, PROBABLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS WORN MORE OFTEN THAN THE COLLAR. THE ENAMELLING ON EACH PLAQUE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO LOSS EVIDENT. THE PIN AND C CLASP TO THE BACK ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. THE COLLAR MEASURES 17 1/2 INCHES IN LENGTH. Antique vintage gold metal lace braid ribbon tape trim. Rare mysterious early china boy doll Meissen? For the knowing collector. This for sure very early rare boy is giving some enigma of it´s maker. Having the crossed swords inside it´s head what could attribute him to Dornheim, Koch & Fischer. Dornheim, Koch & Fischer was a small German doll head maker wellknown for it´s high quality and very rare. Meissen would be a little sensation. I leave it to the knowing collector to evaluate. The head is fine molded and painted. Blue expressive eyes with red line. Fine painted and molded moth giving the impression of a slight smiling. Unfortunately a piece of shoulder is brocken off, a tiny part is missing. A nearly not to see hairline crack on the neck runs up to the hairdo on the back. Early great leatherbody in great condition for age with fine fingers and wasp waist. Marks and holes where the head was attached shows that the head allways originally has been attached to this body. Mark from Francois Borgel, another mark which is not visible, xxNILA WATCH SWISS MADE, the serial number 33994, 925 from 92.5 silver purity, the London mark,’a’ from the year 1916 and a 6. Diameter: 40 mm (including crown), 34 mm (excluding crown). The wristwatch is working. It has an early Borgel case, where the mechanism is screwed. The dial has red paint at 12 hour, typically for military watches. The dial has some small cracks/scratches and small chips. The case shows some signs of wear such as scratches, as you can see from the pictures. The crown has three position, one for winding, one to set up the time and one to unscrew the mechanism. I didn’t check to see how well it is keeping time, if you are interested, let me know and I can check during 24 hours. It is a rare military wristwatch, an antique piece. Very Early & Rare One Piece Dial Vienna Wall Clock. Nice early and very rare one piece dial Vienna wall clock, these early examples are often referred to as’Biedermeier’. ? They were often made in Austria and not Germany and have much finer cases, which are more subtle and elegant and are certainly better constructed. The enamel dial is surrounded by a’pie crust’ cast bezel which is another early feature. The dial with nice fine hands is in very nice shape but there are a few scratches near the winding holes which are very hard to see. The movement is the lift on type, to the back plaque. The movement is clean with fine wheel work and dead beat? . The beat plaque is silvered brass which is a little faded. There is a key, weight and pendulum. The fine case looks like inlaid walnut? Which is faded in some areas (see photos) it has been in a direct sunlight. The fine crest at the top and bottom are in good condition. Early clocks like this have beautiful proportions and measures 40.5in tall (inc crest) x 11in wide x 4.75in deep. Please don’t confuse this early piece with the much inferior later German versions, this is a hard to find clock of some quality. It runs for 10-15mins then stops so would certainly benefit from a good clean and service. One side of the glass is missing on this excellent find.
