For sale is a very rare & stunning pair of antique oil paintings that are on linen/canvas and were expertly painted by an unsigned artist. High gloss varnish finish. Overall decent condition with expected crazing, occasional holes and paint loss. The frames were recently re-glued and the areas with missing paint touched up. These are definitely not museum pieces. But they are nevertheless beautiful and pleasant. Each measure approximately 27 inches wide by 32 1/4 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches deep. Again, thes portraits are wonderful survivors and not in perfect condition. Feel free to ask questions. All sales are final. Century circa 1810 solid bronze Italian Grand tour sculptures of winged Sphinxes. There are multiple high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page. This pair are magnificent, they are and original pair and have been together for the best part of 200 years, they are free from damage, everything is present and correct. One of the bases has been restored and a new piece of timber applied. Height:- 8.9cm. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. This item is made from cast iron, brass, and glass. This item is completely original and in overall good antique condition. This item shows some signs age, wear and tear in the form of light scuffs and an overall patina. This item has an ascending and descending adjustable stand. The glass lens is adjustable and can rotate 360 degrees. Dimensions: H 16.5 x W 6.5 x D 4.5. Condition: The item is completely solid and structurally sound, a light patina is visible to the surface, the item shows wear and tear through use and age and illustrated in the photos provided. For sale is a most beautiful and rare French Automaton Clock that I have had in my collection for quite some time. It is one of my favorite items. This is a beautiful clock in completely original condition. It is a silk thread 8 day movement which keeps excellent time. The face of this clock is in remarkable condition, no signs of rubbing or wear. The hands are original. The basin where the glass rod spins to simulate water coming from a lions head, could use a cleaning to brighten the gilding as would the feet and Roman urn on top. The automaton runs well but I think it would benefit from a total service to make it run down to the end of the spring. It should run for a couple of hours, but this gets sluggish after a 1 hour run. The front of this clock is really beautiful with Bah Relief foliates, very well executed and finely detailed. The clock measures 15 inches tall, 7.5 wide and 5 inches deep. The clock comes with 2 period keys, one for the clock and one for the automaton. It chimes on a very sonorous bell at the hour and half hour. Thank you for taking the time to view my sale.
