Ercol Early Windsor Low Seated Fireside Chair Cowhorn Rare Restored

This is a low seated Ercol Windsor Fireside chair in the “Cowhorn” style so called due to the curved arms. An early version with only seven spindles. The press studs are present under the seat so that cushions can be attached. The later versions have nine spindles with a higher seat. The Blue Ercol label “Made in England” is present. The chair has been stripped and fully re-polished with a hard wearing lacquer. It is sturdy with no loose joints or spindles. See our other listing for a second chair. Dimensions: Height of back 68 cm 27″ Width across arms 54cm 21″ Seat measurements: Width 48cm 19″ Depth 41cm 16″ Height 34cm 13.5″ The thickness of the seat is 4cm 1.5″. You will pay him on arrival. He uses plenty of blankets and straps to look after your item. He works alone so would need help unloading if the item is large or heavy. We can arrange a two man service if required. We use state-of-the-art water borne lacquers as used by manufacturers. They have been certified to FIRA Standard 6250 for surfaces in heavy/severe use and are superior to any oil or wax. The finishing process we have developed maintains the timber’s colour and warmth and enhances figure, grain definition and chatoyance. On Antiques we use traditional French polishing methods. Please study the photos and wording as they form part of the description. Our items are genuine vintage and as such may have signs of previous use commensurate with age. Blade is nice & smooth and is very sharp. The wonderfully aged solid. Hardwood handle is firmly secured and remains solid & strong. Superb patina to all materials throughout. Measures 9-1/4 tall, overall. Handle is 6 long. Head is 8-3/4 wide. Blade is 3-1/16 wide. Hammer face is 1-3/8 square. Very Rare Early Antique blank button Steiff Bear 10 fully jointed. Condition is excellent overall Used Antique very minimal signs of wear for age- a true original! Once hard stuffed he is a bit mushy overall now. When you push his tummy you can feel excelsior and squeaker? But no longer works. He has a very sweet face and mohair has thinned a bit throughout but still very nice and clean as shown. On an off white color silk material finely embroidered in bright multi-colored silk threads using fine satin stitches. Features four large flowers on each of the corner and a foliage throughout the piece. Extremely finely worked piece- just look at the pictures! The shawl measures 52″ (132 cm) x 52″ (132 cm) x 22 (55.9 cm) woven border and fringes. Condition: good vintage condition overall with no serious damages or imperfections. RARE Early The Boss BARN BEAM BORING MACHINE Timber Auger Drill Antique Anderson, IN. Barn Beam Auger/Drill Press. Made to build old barns. I lightly wiped it down for pictures but wanted to leave it up to the final owner to decide how to clean. It should clean up very nicely. Currently shows signs of age and storage such as dirt, dust, grime, etc. All of the moving parts seem to be in good working order. I did not use any lube or oil on the machine, it worked as is when found. I will answer any questions you have, just reach out directly. Lots of great embossed lettering. The Hardware Specialty MFC Co. Has a couple eagles on the sides. One side has settings labeled 1-8. Very cool machine for any collector that you dont see every day. The bottom half measures about 20 long x 11 wide. The top half measures about 22.25 tall x 5.5 wide. Made of cast iron and wood. Please let me know if you have any questions!
