ANTIQUE TIN LITHOGRAPHED GERMAN LEHMANN BALKY MULE IN ORIGINAL BOX WITH RARE PAPER INSTRUCTIONS STILL INCLUDED! Outstanding estate collection dispersal allows us to offer this great, rare Lehmann Balky Mule tin lithographed wind up toy in it’s original box, with it’s original instruction sheet. As you can see, the outer box shows moisture stain, age wear and fray with some loss to the top lid label. It base is holding together very well, but we do have some lid corner tears as you can see in our posted photos. We also note some pencil writting on the interior of the box lid. Inside the toy has been preserved well, with the little box string that may have held the toy in place still attached. The reins for the clown to hold are there also, but are no longer attached to his hands. Wonderful vivid color for the lithographed tin, and bright fabric colors still remain. Wind up on the base bottom is working… We are not sure that if it is working correctly with the reins not attached. The thin, fragile little paper of instruction is written in German and English. The print is very clear and readable, but does have some age yellowing and discoloration. A wonderful piece that is a rare find! Toy measures in at 7 & 1/2 long overall. ANTIQUE EARLY 5 CYLINDER PHONOGRAPH (brass metal) RARE Late 1800’s UNIQUE

“Rare – Interesting Piece of Phonograph History” ANTIQUE: EARLY 5 CYLINDER PHONOGRAPH UNMARKED – Brass Metal Top Piece was found attached as seen in photo and WAS TREADLE POWERED at the time of discovery. You are getting an antique unmarked early 5 cylinder phonograph (not complete, as I have been told) – that was treadle powered from the late 1800’s. Termites destroyed the table top that the phonograph was sitting on (see actual photos – showing the wood table top that was there before it had to be removed). It was part of a huge antique find in Polk County, Florida recently that was caught up in legalities between two deceased antique collectors for a couple of decades or more. Please look over all the photos as they are part of the description. The piece is untampered with and just the way we found it. NOTE: This paragraph may have nothing to do with this item:This is one of the early dictating machines/phonographs of the 1870’s – 1890’s. Not sure what company or person was behind this one since it is unmarked… Edison, Bell, Tainter, Bell? The dictating machines of this time period used tin, foil and wax over the cylinders. Some were also known as shavers, Volta, Dictaphones, or Graphophones. Tainter was the first, I believe, to put the phonograph on a sewing machine base and use the treadle to power the phonograph cylinder. This listing is for the top unit only – not the treadle base/sewing machine base that you see in the photos. Antique Rare Early Orobr German Tin Litho Working Wind Up Steam Roller. This has a very cool looking chain driven Drive Mechanism. Needs a bit of lube which I have not done to keep from attracting dirt. Measures 6 inches long, 2-1/2 inches wide and 3-1/4 inches high. From The Internet: The name. Was actually one of the trademarks of the. Toy company of Brandenberg, Germany. The owners and partners of the company were Mr. The company manufactured inexpensive, but well-made tin toys both before WWI and again after the war, until 1922. Surprisingly, for low-cost toys, there were some very complex toys made that had as many as 42 different pieces of tin plate with tabs. The small tabs were made to fit into small slots and then bent to hold together the 2 different pieces.
