Eugene Deutsch Vintage Antique 1940s Artist Signed altered studio ceramic pottery drip glaze Vessel Vase – Rare Piece Chicago Artist VG – no flaws! Eugene Deutsch 1904 – 1959. Frequently also spelled Deutch was a famous 1940s Chicago pottery artist (Wilmette suburban Chicago also). Some similar works of his have been on display at the famous Art Institute in Chicago. Clearly signed on the bottom as E. Deutsch but unfortunately no date – we do know that the 1940s was his productive time period. Rare White Four Large Mermaids Bowl with Flower Frog. Art Deco Depression Glass Joseph Inwald Barolac. This is a rare large heavy thick White Frosted and Clear Mermaid bowl which has four Mermaids swimming around the bowl. This bowl is absolutely gorgeous in this co ndition with no chips or cracks. Each naked Mermaid with long hair is in a different swimming position. The rim of the bowl has waterlilies and lily pads which protrude a long way out of the bowl. The Mermaids are swimming through seaweed and the bowl sits on four feet. This Mermaid bowl was made in the Depression Era by Josef Inwald Barolac Factory in Bohemia, in what was Czechoslovakia but is now the Czech Republic. Some people get this bowl confused with. Lalique French Art Glass. Protrude out of the back of the bowl. There are no chips or cracks and this bowl is in very good condition for its age. This lovely Mermaid bowl is 12 & 3/8 inches or 31.5cm in diameter across the top of the bowl and it stands 5.5 inches or 14cm high. There are several air bubbles throughout the glass. This rare bowl has been in my collection for a long time, but now some one else can enjoy this lovely Mermaid bowl in their collection. Have a look at all the photos to see the lovely colour and condition. I have never used this bowl, it has only been on display in my collection. I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly. I will double box this lovely. To protect it, and make sure you get it in the same beautiful condition it is in now.

RARE ANTIQUE AFRICAN SEATED ANCESTOR FIGURINE (early 20th Century). Carved hardwood by a very skilled sculptor. The staff has a lovely barley type twist. The tradition of figures being sculpted to represent an Ancestor has been part of African tribal tradition well into 20th century. Can stand upright without falling. A lovely addition to any antique collection. Size – 34×12 cm. Weight – 938 Grams. Provenance: Previously in a Welsh collection of Tribal art.

Aus meiner persönlichen Sammlung biete ich folgendes Stück an. Meissen – großer figürlicher Tafelaufsatz – “Vier Jahreszeiten” auf Sockel von Ernst August Leuteritz. Der Dirigent aus der “galanten Kapelle” ist NICHT Bestandteil des Angebots! Er dient lediglich dazu, die enorme Größe zu veranschaulichen! Hersteller: original Meissen / blaue Schwertermarke unterglasur. 10 x 26 x 26 cm. Alter / Herstellung: Knaufzeit – siehe Schwertermarke / Bilder. Zustand: diverse Bestossungen / Altrestaurationen – Brandriss auf der Sockelunterseite. Fazit: Ein außergewöhnlich großer, aufwendiger und beeindruckender Tafelaufsatz. Ein echter Blickfang, mit herrlichem Gesamteindruck und Farbenpracht in gutem Zustand. Bitte beachten Sie, dass es sich bei diesem Stück um einen sehr alten, gebrauchten, seltenen und beliebten Gegenstand handelt, der üblicherweise Gebrauchsspuren aufweist (wenn er nicht restauriert wurde). Wir vertreten als Sammler die Grundauffassung, dass insbesondere alte, sehr seltene und aufwendige Stücke unrestauriert sein sollten so wie sie in den Museen meist präsentiert werden! Und einen besonderen, sehr schönen Gesamteindruck hinterlassen sollten. Herstellungsbedingte Brandrisse sind insbesondere bei sehr großen Objekten eher die Regel statt der Ausnahme. Die Spannung (der großen Masse) entlädt sich beim Brennen im Riss und ist endgültig, er verändert sich nicht mehr (der Haarriss hingegen wandert in der Regel).
