1940s Hadrill Horstmann Floor Standing Counterweight Lamp Rare Early Prototype

Extremely rare Hadrill Horstmann counterweight lamp. I know of only one other in existence which is in a private collection. This lamp predates the’Roller’ design with a large suspended weight. The weight is sprung on its shaft. I believe it was a prototype which was superceded by the roller. Interestingly the limbs are not stamped with branding. I think at this stage decal labels were used but would have been on magnifier cover. No repainting on top half it’s all completely original scuffs and all. Though actually it’s in remarkably good condition for its age (1940s). It has been disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and polished. Every but and washer is present and original including all the knurled nuts. Corners of shade have small bolted reinforcements. Very subtle but may not be original. Stand has been repainted. It connects to lamp via a solid steel shaft which protrudes about 4 inches from base and exactly fits the middle tube. Side brackets can be adjusted. There are four independent parts so the current arrangement is just how I thought they looked tidy. Not sure how these were originally used. All rewired with new braided flex. Vintage bulb holder which is properly earthed and is switched. I’ll do my best to wrap her up but I can’t box it. My estimate is it weighs around 20 kilos. Sign shows age and wear (see photos). Some Steel is missing. The broken neon tubing has been removed. One hanger is missing. Great restoration project or leave it as is. Very nice rarer 158 with 3 cars, Very early Lionel 0-4-0. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10 hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. I price them for what I have in them. This is a hobby to get the old Lionel’s back in service. Very nice Lionel 158 Nice Prewar Tin Plate engine Antique early Lionel Electric Engine. Made around 1917-20 antique/Vintage toy train with all the trim parts, I restored it. Serviced it, tested it. It has great wheels, Rewired, The 158 had early dummy lights. It runs great in one directions, he 158 only ran in one direction.. Engine run strong and very good(SEE PICTURES RUNNING). Here is a Beautiful & rare early Antique Oil Painting of the old Cliff House in San Fransisco California. Not completely sure when this painting was done but from looking at it, it appears antique and most likely period original from pre 1900. Painting does not appear to be signed, but it is beautifully done. This Oil on Canvas painting measures 15 inches wide & 8 1/2 inches tall (visible) – without frame. Frame measures 19 inches wide x 12 1/2 inches tall. Please see all photos for exact condition & appearance. Rare early Antique all Bisque French Mignonette Doll swivel neck sleep eyes 1880

For your consideration, I have a rare swivel neck with cobalt blue enamel sleep eyes in original set. Her only flaw is the chip in the top of her left leg. Early peg jointed arms and legs. There are two kinds of antique roses at her neck. The Antique cotton tulle bobble tambour. Lace has a touch of blush to it. The under dress is also rare lame silk and she has silk covered buttons. Her hat has a feather that of sets the color in her skirt. The silk ribbon in her hat is also very old. The hat is made out of tiny point de spirit lace and lavender silk ribbon with pink silk ribbon on the edge. She will bring joy to you every time you look at her. She was originally made from 1880 to 1899 in France or Germany. Thank you for looking. An Extremely Early Lantern Clock by Daniel Hoskins London? Display at Bateman’s, National Trust East Sussex, Former Jacobean. Home of Rudyard Kipling. Both that one and mine have near Identical. Engraving on the Dial showing Three Skeletons Father Time, the Grim. Also, the Latin: Nobilem ex Rustico. Talis eram qualis es. And Talis eris qualis sum. Google “Bateman’s Daniel Hoskins Clock” for Image. Ultra Rare and (in my opinion) only needing weights, long pendulum and. A few hours labour to make it work again. Height to Finial Top 39cms. Steel flex from Pendulum top is present. I have been told it would need. A weight in excess of 5kgs, no less, to activate mechanism. I have not myself tried the mechanism. This is a beautiful early Navajo textile. Decent condition considering the age. Vintage is always a plus. It looks to me like 4 ply weave but I’m not a professional. Measures 48″ X 73″. It has repairable damage like holes from moths and years of use but it doesn’t seem to effect the beauty. As you can see it looks good but it could use some TLC.
