Rare Early Antique Wedgwood Chrysanthemum Plates Platter Pearlware
Set of antique Wedgwood plates and serving platter in the early and rare Chrysanthemum pattern. Size of plates is about 8 1/4 DIA. Size of platter is about 14 1/4″ x 10 3/4″. Overall good antique contrition for their age. Some wear to gold and light crazing consistent with age. One plate is cracked with an old staple repair and has a pice broken off. This plate will be sent as a free item if you’d like, for glue or restoration. One plate has nicks to edge. Sighs of use to bottom of all pieces. All impressed with Wedgwood mark. RARE Antique Early 1900s SS White Dental Cast Iron Wall Bracket Arm Lamp Light
Here is a Cast iron SS White articulating wall lamp bracket from the early 1900s. Great wall lamp and rewired with a new cloth wire. Both cast iron pieces move left and right. I haven’t been able to find another piece like this anywhere online. Would be great for any light or dental/medical collector. Originally when found there was a hairline crack in the top piece of main bracket. I had it professionally welded and repaired only about a quarter inch of the whole top piece. It is not noticeable now. Painted the small area in a flat black to try and match the rest of bracket. Also, liquid welded a brass socket thread at tip of arm for socket. This is to keep light socket in place. Comes with a early holophane lamp shade as well. Light is in working condition. See photos, ask any questions needed. RARE Antique 18th C Forged Iron Early FIREPLACE Tripod Small SPIDER SKILLET. RARE Antique 18th C Forged Iron Early FIREPLACE Tripod Small SPIDER SKILLET — found in Berks County, Pennsylvania — — It stands approximately 4.75″ tall from floor to top of rim and measures approximately 15 2/16″ in diameter across the outer edge of the top rim to the end of the handle. It has a mark on the back of the handle – a line with 3 small dots- not sure what this means but it is different than most we have had -with the mark and the smaller size. You can see the hand hammered marks on this one which makes it really neat. Both the exterior and interior are nice and clean with authentic use seen at the hearth , making this a good vessel for actual hearth cooking use — — This will make a nice addition to your early hearth cooking cookware collection. An extremely rare pair of adorable, velvet Steiff Treff bloodhounds c. Made in a sitting position with jointed heads, Baby Treff still has her earbutton with scrap of stock tag, while Mummy Treff only has two ear slits where her missing button was positioned. Being larger, at 15 cms (6) high, she has the distinctive Treff’droopy-eye’ design, whereby her back-painted glass eyes are embedded in sockets and surrounded by velvet eyelids. Steiff actually patented this slanting, half-covered construction, and also used a similar design for their Jocko chimp. In the distant past, her original hand-embroidered nose has had some extra stitches added, but her embedded glass eyes are both oriignal, though one has been re-attached at some point. There’s a little wear to her sockets/eyelids, but her neck joint works fine. Stuffed with a mix of woodwool and kapok, Mummy Treff’s beige velvet plush is in lovely condition, with minimal wear and just a couple of small repairs. It’s taken on a pale greenish hue over the years, mostly to her muzzle, but isn’t actually as green as it appears in my photos. She has a teasing red airbrushed mouth, and faint muzzle’freckles’, along with endearingly-long floppy ears. Overall, Mummy is amazingly well-preserved for her age. Originally, Treffs wore large pastel-coloured ribbons, but Mummy now has a posh leopard-print velvet collar with bell, same as her Baby. Baby Treff sits 10 cms (4) high and is all original with the Steiff button under her floppy ear. She has amber back-painted glass eyes and a black-emboidered nose. Her neck joint has stiffened up over time, and can no longer be swivelled due to the fragility of her velvet plush at the back, which has been secured with stitching (see pic). Generally, much of her velvet naP has worn away, and shows some patchy discolouration. Also, the internal wire in one of her hind legs is showing through her foot by way of a tiny hole. However, despite Baby Treff’s wear and tear, she remains in reasonably good condition and on the whole is a sturdy, and very cute, little character. These lovable, iconic Steiff dogs travel with their Treff embroidered cushion. The item “MEGA RARE EARLY VELVET STEIFF TREFF BLOODHOUNDS ADORABLE” is in sale since Wednesday, October 3, 2018.
