A superb figurine of a hummingbird with an orchid flower made by Nymphenburg around the mid 20th century. An amazing piece and one of my favorite ones they ever designed. Also one of the hardest to find in perfect condition due to the obviously fragile nature of this figure! An extremely well modeled piece and painted to perfection that just looks fun in your display case! The figure is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, the numbers 858 over 0 and the green shield mark under a crown with Nymphenburg underneath it as shown. The piece is 7.375 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. 20thC German Germany Orchidee Kolibri vintage. Up for sale is a really fun CH Brannam dog figure with glass eyes. He was made I believe during the WW1 period & as was common at that time shows an injured dog. He is in good order apart from a tail break repair as shown in the images. These Brannam figures are very hard to find in any condition. This object (as shown in the picture) stands roughly 23cm (9 inches). Condition: Good order apart from a repair to a tail break. Pretty good example and very bright. RARE EARLY to MID 19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE IN D I A N HINDU GODDESS SARASWATI FIGURATIVE BRONZE SCULPTURE, with ORIGINAL, NATURALLY AGED PATINA & EPISODES of VERDIGRIS, with HEADDRESS, FOUR ARMS PLAYING STRING INSTRUMENT’RAGHUNATHA VEENA. SITTING on LOTUS FLOWER. Early to mid-19th century In d i a n sand cast bronze Hindu spiritual bronze sculpture of Goddesses. 8″ Height x 5″ Width x 2 ½ Depth. For sale is this spectacular and undamaged, early and 100% untouched and undisturbed early to mid-19th century In d i a n antique bronze figurative metal sculpture of the mythological In d i a n Goddess Saraswati, with her legendary four arms, two of which clutch and play an In d i a n sitar or’raghunaatha veena’ string instrument. The bronze is cast in the In d i a n traditional bronze sand casting method. The bronze still has its naturally aged, oxidized and heavily tarnished surfaces, with episodes of verdigris patina. The bronze has a variegated surface with fluctuating color, varying between a honey or amber, to deep burnt sienna, chocolate and sepia brown metallic hues, punctuated by minty green episodes of verdigris found principally in the recesses of the sgraffito incised descriptive mark-making on the surfaces of the In d i a n Goddess figure Saraswati. The bronze hasn’t been rinsed, oiled or polished with any kind of polishing agent, bronze cleaner or metal brightening paste. The antique Indian bronze figure remains largely as it was originally constituted. An incredible early-mid 19th century In d i a n artifact. Authentic and absolutely original. Saraswati is the In d i a n Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, art, speech, wisdom, and learning. She’s a part of the trinity (Tridevi) of Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Parvati. All three of these spiritual Hindu forms help comprise the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva to create, maintain, and regenerate the Universe, respectively. An impressive’nkisi’ power figure of haunting presence, yet pared down to a minimum of paraphernalia compared to other Songye power figures. (horse-) hair in the nostrils, a bead necklace and a skirt, held in place by a belt made of felt, and a single nail with hemispherical head in the belly. The sculpture is made from hardwood with a dark brown blackish surface and mounted on an exquisite purpose made stand. The height of 37,5cm is without the purpose made stand. An exceedingly rare piece. A special Victorian-era ultra rare Heubach masterpiece. From my own collection. A young girl and her cat companion. Put on a performance. The cat looks at a songbook and. Sings in the most lovely cat voice. I call it “The Parlor Perfomance” – think Jane Austen’s “Emma”. And the importance of the Victorian parlor as a place to. Show off one’s musical talents… The young lady wears a ruffled day cap trimmed with blue. Bow, an Empire-style pale yellow dress with a giant bow. To the back, plunging square neckline and high waist. Pouf sleeves and long gloves, matching silk shoes. This is clearly a Georgian outfit, putting the girl. Even the cross necklace was very in vogue then! A large piece, striking on display at 16 inches tall and heavy. As well, with a closed base, a sign of early sculpting, mid 1800s. When pieces were not hollowed out much; it weighs. Plus points : Ultra rare in 30 years of collecting. I’ve never seen another, charming subject matter. Large size, excellent condition! Early 20th century Ame ri can hand carved & hand painted wooden, sexualized figurative gag toys. 6″- 7″ overall Height (outstretched) and with hinged, weighted’male member’ exposed x 2″ Width x 1″ Depth. For sale is this killer, absolutely wonderful early 20th century Ame ri can vintage Folk art/Tramp art hand carved and hand painted kinetic wooden gag light sculpture of a patrician gentleman, wearing a tuxedo, high top hat and bow tie, properly dressed in a white shirt and sporting a chained eyepiece over one eye. He’s the apparent epitome of the upper crust, well-groomed and well behaved. But surprise, surprise, when the bottom two legs of this bespeckled industrialist or wealthy banking executive are pulled down, out’pops the weasel’ or in more sober and accurately descriptive terms, out comes his hinged white and red painted male phallus, reminding us how his naughty, real and hidden demeanor contradicts the pomp and circumstance of his gentlemanly attire. Perhaps one of the earliest Item I have ever acquired in my 30 years of collecting, is this very early mid 1700s +- gothic wiccan witch carved early oak witch figure. Combined patina, subject matter and its attire are just a few clues to its genuine period timeframe, appears in the form of a perhaps male witch sorta form, notice the cloak garment to go along with the pre colonial hat. The carved wood is very early oak with its early original patina, no signs of residue or clues suggesting it was part of something other than a hanging shelf.
