Rare Early Austrian JUGENDSTIL Pottery Vase EDUARD STELLMACHER c. 1890s Amphora

Rare Early Austrian JUGENDSTIL Pottery Vase EDUARD STELLMACHER c. Rare Early Austrian Art Nouveau Pottery Vase EDUARD STELLMACHER, circa 1895. We feature a growing selection of Oriental, Chinese and Ethnic antiques. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is a very rare and early vase by Alfred Stellmacher, made a few years before founding “Amphora”. It is in the Jugendstil style, made in Turn-Teplitz, and features a raised decoration with colorful enamel filled sections is reminiscent of the cloisonne technique. Imagery depicts two seated figures smoking a pipe on either side of the vase. An abstract face is depicted just beneath the round opening on either side, between the two handles. Underside is stamped “Stellmacher Teplitz” in red. Height: 8″ x Width: 6″. This piece was likely crafted between 1890 – 1895, and is in the Jugendstil (German/Austrian Art Nouveau) style. Stellmacher (with others) founded Riessner, Stellmacher and Kessel Amphora Porcelain Works (RStK), better known as Amphora, in 1892. Logically, the mark on this piece should predate the formation of this company by a few years, although precise use of the years associated with this mark are unknown. The vase is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, damage, or loss. There are some areas of imperfection in the glazes and designs i. Enamels dripping below their associated area, etc. , but nothing distracting or significant. There are few “light” spots on the brown glaze (from manufacture), and a small area of minor roughness on the underside. All of these minor factory issues are clearly shown in the last few photos, and are minor. The vase is free of chips, cracks, damage, or loss. This quote is for the Continental U. Extremely Rare & Early Green Art Glass Lamp c. 1910 Antique American vase

Extremely Rare & Early QUEZAL Art Glass Lamp c. 1910 Antique American vase. Extremely Rare & Early QUEZAL Green Art Glass Lamp, circa 1910. We also feature a growing selction of high-end contemporary & early American furniture. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is an extremely rare green & white Quezal iridized art glass lamp, c. The lamp features an early design & color, and the 12 glass insert is free of chips, cracks, or scratches. The vase/lamp base is unsigned, but unmistakenly made by Quezal. This is the only example of a lamp I have seen in green, although this décor often shows up in signed vases. As you can see, the lamp is not wired. All the other parts are present, but improving the mounts from the current ones would likely help the lamp. I believe this lamp was made earlier than most other lamps, before they started to use their standard mounts. The glass portion measure 12.25″ tall, and overall the lamp is 20″ from base to the top of the socket. Again, the vase is in pristine condition. This quote is for the Continental U. RARE EARLY 19th CENTURY FRENCH BACCARAT SULPHIDE NAPOLEON CAMEO SCENT BOTTLE
Posted by admin On June 16, 2018
This listing is for a VERY RARE French double sided SULPHIDE CAMEO cut crystal perfume or scent bottle with silver top made by the Baccarat factory, c. Measures 3″ high, 1 3/4″ long and 1 wide. This STUNNING bottle has an intricate portrait cameo on each side of the hand cut crystal body. One side features a double cameo bust of Napoleon as Caesar and the reverse has a cameo bust of Hortense (Josephine’s child from a former marriage). The sulphide cameos are made of opaque glass that are encased in another layer of glass. This type cameo is an earlier form and was made in the early 1800’s. It has a snap off French silver cap with a good hinge and tight closure. The bottle is in good condition, however, there is a small chip on lower left side below the child’s cameo. Missing inner glass stopper. A similar bottle is illustrated on page 22 of the book. “Perfume and Scent Bottle Collecting”. This type scent bottle was made as early as 1770 and was made in both England and France. The silver rim of this bottle is marked with a single French hallmark and similar bottles were known to have been made by the Baccarat factory. This RARE bottle would be a treasured addition to any advanced scent bottle collection. Due to the process involved in making these cameo scent bottles, few were made and seldom do they become available even to advanced collectors. For anyone who collects perfume or scent bottles, this one is fabulous! Please check our other Store listings as we are currently listing a large collection of perfume and scent bottles from an advanced collection that is new to the market. Rare Early Victorian Antique Copper Bath On Wheels Salvage Vintage French Bateau
Posted by admin On June 16, 2018
HERE WE HAVE A TRULY WONDERFUL AND RARE EARLY VICTORIAN COPPER BATEAU BATH FOR SALE. THIS IS AN EARLY VICTORIAN EXAMPLE AND COMES ON AN ORIGINAL SET OF WHEELS WHICH WOULD PROBABLY SUGGEST THAT IT WAS ORIGINALLY USED IN A HOSPITAL OR SOMEWHERE THAT REQUIRED IT TO BE MOVED ON OCCASION. THIS BATH WAS BOUGHT IN THE UNITED STATES BUT IS MORE THAN LIKELY TO HAVE ORIGINATED IN FRANCE IN OUR OPINION. THE BATH IS IN ORIGINAL ANTIQUE CONDITION WITH A “DOLPHIN” TAP TO THE REAR CORNER. THE BATH OOZES CHARM WITH AN AMAZING PATINA AND EARLY CONSTRUCTION METHODS SHOWING SUCH AS RIVETS ETC. THE TAP (AS YOU WILL SEE FROM THE PHOTOS) IS TRULY A THING OF BEAUTY AND THIS WOULD SUGGEST THAT THIS BATH IS UNDOUBTEDLY FROM A VERY HIGH LEVEL MANUFACTURERS AND WOULD HAVE BEEN A REAL ROLLS ROYCE PIECE IN ITS HEYDAY. WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CHECK IF THE BATH IS WATERTIGHT BUT APART FROM THE DAMAGE NEAR THE TOP OF THE BATH ALL THE SEAMS LOOK TO BE INTACT AND IN GOOD ORDER. FROM OUR RESEARCH WE WOULD SUGGEST THAT THIS BATH DATES FROM THE 1830s APPROXIMATELY. MEASURES :145cm long x 63cm wide at widest point x 32 cm wide at front x 85cm high at back x 78 cm high at front. The trolley with wheels measures 8cm high at back x 11cm high at front. Please see our other ads for more vintage and retro items and antiques.
