Is medium dark brown in color (photographed in natural light, the photos appear lighter than actual color). Depicts a Seated Monkey with a very expressive face. Has paperweight glass eyes. Is well modeled in deep relief with very good carving and detail. Dimensions: 5.0 In. Tall x 2.6 In. Wide x 7.4 In. Weight: 7.1 Oz. The estimated date is circa Early 20th Century. This Exceptional SEATED MONKEY Antique Wooden Nutcracker is in very good condition- there is a bit of fretting to the to the bottom of the top front lip.
