A miniature figurine made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is of a guinea hen and just a fun piece. Not one you see very often. Nicely modeled and painted as one would expect from Meissen! The figure is in perfect condition which always helps : It is marked underneath with the under glazed blue crossed swords mark as well as some very faint impressed numbers I cannot make out. “Flip Your Ahes On Old Nasty”. The Violation of “Poland”. What a great little potty! A comical chamber pot as an ashtray. It’s only 2 inches across. Miniature chamber pots,’Potty’ or’Po’ were manufactured in white china with transfer printed wording around the side’ CHUMS, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Inside there is a transfer printed image of Adolf Hitler and wording’HITLER IN POLAND’. Crown Devon Fieldings, Jerry Kamer produced quickly and in a short time, the miniature anti-Nazi’chamber pot’ in the four months between September and early December 1939. In December 1939, restrictions began to arise that the product was excessive and inappropriate, even though it was directed against Nazi Germany. And he was forced to stop production, hence the rarity of chamber pot. Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions. What more can i say? Except mine has different wording and has colour. But it does have the Fieldings mark on the bottom. It is in really exceptional condition for such a rare item. It has a few minor chips to the bottom, fitting with it’s age.
