This listing is for an antique Ansonia mantel clock. This rare clock is referred to as a “swinger” or a “mystery” clock. This one is an early “tin can” model. This clock is composed of a statue of a woman and a clock that sways back and forth in her hand. The clock appears to be in overall good condition. We got it professionally tuned up and had the suspension repaired in August of this year. It ran when tested. Notes indicate that the colors on the statue were touched up in 2010. The repairman informed us that this is an Ansonia and that many of these mystery/swinger clock movements are not stamped with the Ansonia logo. This is an early Horsman baby doll; if you’re a Horsman or early composition collector, this character seldom comes up in good condition. At 16, this early baby is the perfect playable size. In stunning condition, with no crazing, shiny composition. Tin sleepy eyes, and a HTF open mouth (meant to take a bottle). Ready to display and love! No broken fingers or toes. Within the community there are many who are apprehensive or skeptical of antique dealers, while most of us are simply trying to run a small business or fund our own collections. It measures approximately 5″ Tall X almost 5″ Wide with a top Diameter of about 5.75. It is created with woven grass, cowrie shells (symbolize wealth and fertility), glass beaded front, antique trade beads, wood, and animal claws. It is in Excellent Preowned Condition for its age. The wooden side pieces that hold the back woven handle look a little different and the right dangling piece is missing a few beads, please refer to all photos as part of the description. Exceptionally Rare Pre Coalport John Rose Coalbrookdale Porcelain Sauce. Circa 1805 – 1810. Rare John Rose & Co Coalbrookdale Porcelain Pre Coalport Circa 1805 – 1820 Sauce Tureen & Underplate. Likely a bespoke commission for an important family, given the incorporation of a monogram. All hand painted and gilded, Great overall condition, considering the piece is approaching 200 years old. There is a chip to the foot of the tureen, and two feint stable hairlines on the underside of the under plate as per the clear photographs. I have similar pieces listed, each with its own condition report, and photographs.
