Rare cartoon style eyes /black shoe button eyes with white painted rims. Long curved arms upwards at the paws. Pads and praws are covered with leather like fabric. Wears a neck band (looks like leather but not sure)and a antique revolver belt made of real leather and decorated with brass bells. Bear comes with no markings. Bertie is a wonderful old Bing teddy bear dating to c1910. You could easily mistake Bertie for a Steiff teddy bear. Measuring 19 with shoe button eyes, original beige nose/mouth stitching, wood wool stuffing with non working growler. Bertie is not perfect and does have a lot of wear and repairs including some darning to his tummy, repair to leg as well as repair to seam of leg, inserts to all his pads and some darkening to the top of right leg however he is a strong old boy with no fragility. This gorgeous guy was made in 1920s so his condition is very loved. He needs restoration to bring him to life.
