If you don’t see the item you were looking for in my listings please ask, it may be still available. Antique Scandinavian GEORG JENSEN Sterling Silver BROOCH/Pin #97. An very early design by GJ himself, of which this is one of the very early ones – produced between 1910-25 so may even have been hand-made by GJ himself! With a history that spans more than 100 years, the Georg Jensen brand represents quality craftsmanship and combines both timeless and contemporary aesthetic design, manufacturing lifestyle products ranging from hollowware to watches, jewellery and items for the home and office. The philosophy of Georg Jensen himself was to create democratic designs possessing both functionality and beauty. His artistic talent and superior craftsmanship, combined with his capability to identify and support new design talent, was the foundation on which he built Georg Jensen in Copenhagen in 1904. The same ethos continues today. GJ Marks used 1910-25. 43 x 43mm (1.7 x 1.7). Very good- nothing above the normal lightest scuffs of use – would be considered excellent antique condition. Please see my other account at 16yssm or 15yssm. YOU ARE HELPING TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT! IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ! And whilst doing so I hope to transfer my experiences, good and bad, into giving my buyers first class service, so you will want to come back for more, time & again! I try to give accurate information on the items that I sell including makers, stamps, style, dates etc. These are my assessment of the items based on research and I try to be as accurate as possible but I won’t be 100% of the time! I try to take good photos of all markings but can have a bad day! , so if the specific details/interpretation of marks are important to you please do check them yourself. I will always try to give important details/measurements. I will usually answer within 24hrs. Hallmarks/other markings/labels will be photographed & identified, if possible, to the best of my ability. I would like to thank the creators of the following websites which I regularly use in Hallmark & Makers Mark Identification. I make every effort to upload clear pictures. Some under high magnification, especially to show hallmarks and details or defect/damage or repair. But (even on new items) this can makes even the slightest manufacturing imperfections & specks of dust appear much more prominent even though they are often not visible to the naked eye! So please don’t be put off – you can just rest assured that I do not hide any problems! So if you are unsure whether something is a defect or camera/lighting effect just ask, though I will have usually mentioned any major defect/damage in the description. Any items/embellishments used in presenting a listing eg. Jewellery boxes; mats/cloths; jewellery/scarves or additional items of clothing are for display purposes only, unless expressly itemised in the listing. I know it is really annoying when an item is not the colour you expect: Colours can vary in different light even natural light doesn’t always guarantee the correct colour! Purple, when actually it maybe plum! So I will edit photos to make colours as accurate as possible. I may also use flash or lighten/darken photos during editing in order to highlight detail (especially necessary on dark clothing, but can alter the colour), & I will note the photo(s) closest to the true colour if need be. Only sell items that I would be happy receiving myself! Uyers should appreciate my items are not new/vintage so expect signs of use. Please be assured I will always try to accurately & objectively describe the item & any faults to the best of my ability, & photograph them in the most honest way I can (including close-ups), warts & all! The combination of description + photographs should allow you to form your own objective opinion of the beauty, details. NB Don’t be put off by the mention of faults/defects – it in no way means the item is aesthetically displeasing or broken, unless I specifically say that! Also remember magnified images look much worse than you can see by naked eye. Clothing & shoes etc. Will be clean but may be creased from storage. All damage/signs of use taken into account whether expected for age/use or not (I’ll let you decide on the latter). (works for clothing/shoes and contemporary/vintage/antique items). In new/unused (with or without tag/original box) or virtually new looking condition (can occur even in vintage/antique items if only ever stored/ displayed). Barely used with minimal signs of wear, in sound overall condition. Has signs of use, light-moderate signs of wear but doesn’t detract from the piece. Signs of regular use, will show signs of wear, slight damage +/or good repair (will be specified in the listing). Item is showing significant signs or use, or is damaged, poorly repaired or in obvious need of repair (will be specified in the listing). For recycle/scrap or significant repair. Please pay within 3 days. I do not aim to make a profit on P+P. & sometimes even subsidised! (Be assured your item will still be fully protected). I don’t charge for packaging or time or petrol! Each item will be well packed to sufficiently protect them, but packaging will mostly be recycled to save costs & landfill. I will always obtain Proof of Posting. Items (> 2Kg or > 90cm) will be sent by the most economical service at the time. Your item will usually arrive within 6-20 days. As long as you. (I will let you know in the rare event of it being over 5/7). If you need something urgently, pay for the faster option ie. Offers need to be reasonably close to the asking price. To have any chance of being considered. Disparaging offers are not acceptable & will be ignored. Repeat offenders will be blocked! I would have thought this was obvious, but apparently not! So don’t insult with offers under this! So there is only room for serious offers. You pay so I can make adjustments. RARE Case of LOST POST. I thoroughly check all items prior to listing and will note any defects in the description. If there is a. So that you won’t be out of pocket! Please do not return anything without first allowing me to review the discrepancy. If there are any suspicions of fraud your name will be passed on to the. National ACTION FRAUD Squad. I would be grateful if you could take a minute to leave feedback as this reassures me that the item has arrived safely & and you are happy with it. A Due to misreading the listing or wishful thinking on your behalf yep – I’ve done it! B Under sellers control – or nothing I/they could have possibly done about it! C Is there anything I can do to put things right? Message me to see. I will of course leave feedback for you as well once I know all is well. So please look at what else I have listed &. So you can check back regularly! From a smoke free home, but we do have 4 beautiful rescue moggies – so be aware parcels may occasionally have a. Of a short silky cat hair, or even one of my, or my daughters’, long hairs which seem to get everywhere however careful we are! – please don’t take offence! Many thanks – for respecting the time & effort I put into my listings by reading my (rather long) notes. Charles Mielatz Rare Early Florida Etching The Squall, Lake Okeechobee 1915
Rare Early Florida Etching by Charles Mielatz – The Squall, Lake Okeechobee 1915. “The Squall, Lake Okeechobee, Florida” 1915. Etching on cream wove stock. Signed in pencil under the image : Mielatz Imp. Signed and dated in the plate, lower right. Annotated in pencil, by the artist at the lower edge with the title and edition information. (edition of 25 – all states / 5th State – 2nd Impression). A very fine etching by this famous master etcher depicting a storm on the Florida lake near the Everglades. Very dramatic and realistic in feeling, with an impressionist technique. Etchings by this artist usually depict New York, Midwestern and New England scenes and Southern images are rare. This early view of Florida was printed by Mielatz in a total edition of only 25. PLATE SIZE – 5″ x 7″. SHEET SIZE – 7 3/4″ x 9 7/8″. Darkening to the upper corners, well away from the image. Ready to mat and frame. Charles Frederick William Mielatz was born in Bredding, Germany in 1864. He immigrated to the United States as a young boy and studied at the Chicago School of Design. Mostly self-taught, his first prints were large New England landscapes reminiscent of the painter-etcher school of American Art. Around 1890 he started to produce prints of New York City and by the time of his death, the number totaled over ninety images. He was a master technician in the field of etching, reworking many of his plates to get the exact feeling he was seeking. It was not unusual for him to have three or more states to a print in an edition run. On some he would simply reduce the plate size, on others, he would remove entire sections of the image to redraw it. He was one of the early pioneers of multi-plate color etchings in this country. Mary Cassatt’s color etchings may have influenced him. Charles Mielatz was a member of the New York Etching Club and elected an Associate Member of the National Academy in 1906. He succeeded James David Smillie as the etching teacher at the National Academy, a position he held for 15 years. He died in New York City on June 2, 1919. This piece will be a museum quality addition to any collection of American Art and will display beautifully in any decor: Arts and Crafts, Art Deco, Americana, Southern – Florida, Eames Era, Shabby Chic, or Contemporary. I always respond quickly! This object comes from a smoke-free, pet-free environment. Thank you for looking! This item is in the category “Art\Art Prints”. A Fabulous 1920’s Antique Red Vase. Collectors of Consolidated / Phoenix Glassware know that red pieces are very rare and desirable! This wonderful Bittersweet Vase is believed to be the work of Reuben Haley as part of the much sought-after Martele Line. It measures about 9-5/8″ tall and 5-1/4″ wide. The opening is about 3-1/4 wide. My grandmother was a well-known life-long antique glass collector here in Minnesota. In the 1970’s, she gave this vase to my mother, who is also an antique glass collector. The color is a deep ruby red or pigeon blood color. There are bubbles inside the glass, and a few other manufacturing inconsistencies, which attest to the age and authenticity of this piece. There is very minor wear and a couple tiny pinpricks along the rim, from years of careful enjoyment. Nothing interferes with the beauty of this piece. An essential item for a serious collector. See my other auctions and save more! This item is in the category “Pottery & Glass\Decorative Pottery & Glassware\Vases”. The seller is “makehappytime” and is located in this country: US.
