Rare Early Masons Ironstone Cider Mug Tankard Vase & Jardinière Imari c1815
Posted by admin On September 7, 2020
The pattern depicts a garden setting with a vase and jardinière amid flowers and branches hand painted with an Imari palette of Cobalt Blue, Iron Red, Pink, Green, Yellow and Peach. The mug is octagonal in profile with a Unique Flared Base and an Impressive Serpent or Snake Shaped looped handle. It Displays Wonderfully and measures 5 inches tall; 7 inches across at the base; and 8 ½ inches across, including the handle. The piece has the Masons blue crown backstamp plus a circular impressed mark that dates it to circa 1815. It is in Very Good condition, especially for its age more than 200 years old. There are no chips or damage to the piece. There are slight separation lines / narrow gaps from the manufacturing / firing process where the handle meets the body of the jug (last two photos). It only adds to the character and authenticity of the piece and it remains solid and the integrity is not compromised. The main decorations are vivid and bright. The peach lip paint has faded over time. There is a short brown line at the impressed mark that is not a crack (photo 10) and a few pieces of left over material captured under the glaze on the interior of the mug; again, this is from the firing process. Rare Early Huge 1920s Teddy Bear Vintage Old Antique
Posted by admin On September 5, 2020
This gorgeous guy was made in 1920s so his condition is very loved. He needs restoration to bring him to life. Been sat in my old window chair for some time but now it’s time for him go to his new mum. Please view the images – he’s a big cuddly guy. I call him Henry. His head joint no longer works and pads are long recovered many years ago but he is an impressive size (27 inches) and has years of love to give! Are you that clever person who can bring him back to his former glory? His colour is very unusual – a rare cinnamon. His eyes are old replacements but need to be glass? RARE EARLY HADRILL HORSTMANN PROTOTYPE ROLLER LAMP. 1940s INDUSTRIAL ANGLEPOISE
Posted by admin On September 5, 2020
ULTRA RARE PROTOTYPE HADRILL HORSTMANN ROLLER LAMP. Designed by Fredjo Horstmann, this lamp dates from the 1940s. London stamp (not the later Godalming stamp 1950s onwards). This is a prototype lamp with extended base (this is a large desk lamp not a floor lamp). The lamp has been professionally polished to a mirror finish on the base, shade, fork and counterweight. The shade itself has retained its shape, but there are a couple of minor dents and scratches/scuffs (difficult to photograph due to the reflective surface). Please be aware that the lamp is over 70 years old. It has had a working life and it therefore has imperfections. Contact me if you would like additional photographs. New chrome bulb holder and re-wired in 3-core, grey vintage flex. Not currently PAT tested, so you are advised to get it checked. Fully extended the lamps stands at approx 1.1m in height. PLEASE SEE MY LISTINGS FOR FURTHER LAMPS FROM MY COLLECTION. The item “RARE EARLY HADRILL HORSTMANN PROTOTYPE ROLLER LAMP. 1940s INDUSTRIAL ANGLEPOISE” is in sale since Friday, July 17, 2020.
