A HALLMARKED EARLY MARIUS HAMMER 925 GILDED SILVER AND ENAMEL COLLAR NECKLACE AND BROOCH PARURE. THIS EXTREMELY RARE AND EARLY PARURE SET WAS PRODUCED BY RENOWNED NORWEGIAN SILVERSMITH MARIUS HAMMER AROUND 1890 IN BERGEN. SUPPLIED IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX MARKED HENRIK OPHEIM, JUVELER & GULDSMED, BERGEN. THE PARURE CONSISTS OF A GILDED SILVER COLLAR NECKLACE FORMED WITH INDIVIDUAL FILIGREE FLORAL PLAQUES LINKED TOGETHER. THE CENTRE OF EACH PLAQUE IS ENAMELLED IN BLUE AND WHITE TO FORM THE CENTRE OF A FLOWER. THE COLLAR IS FASTENED WITH A SIMPLE BUT SECURE HOOK AND EYE. THE MATCHING GILDED SILVER BROOCH CONSISTS OF THREE FLORAL PLAQUES ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER WITH BLUE AND WHITE ENAMELLED CENTRES WITH TWO SMALLER WHITE ENAMELLED BUTTERFLY SHAPED PLAQUES INBETWEEN. THE BROOCH IS SECURED BY A SOLID PIN AND C CLASP. THE PARURE IS IN VERY GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION. THE SILVER GILDING TO THE FRONT OF THE COLLAR NECKLACE IS IN EXTREMELY GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY SOME SMALL AREAS OF DARKENING TO THE BACK COMMENSURATE WITH AGE. THE ENAMELLED CENTRES ARE ALSO IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, THE ONLY LOSS BEING ONE SMALL BLUE PETAL ON ONE FLORAL PLAQUE. THIS IS ONLY APPARENT ON CLOSE INSPECTION, AND UNDER HIGH MAGNIFICATION LOOKS AS IF IT COULD HAVE BEEN A MANUFACTURING FAULT. THE BROOCH IS IN GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION HAVING SUFFERED SOME LOSS OF GILDING AND DARKENING OF THE SILVER TO THE THREE SILVER PLAQUES, PARTICULARLY TO THE BACK, PROBABLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS WORN MORE OFTEN THAN THE COLLAR. THE ENAMELLING ON EACH PLAQUE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO LOSS EVIDENT. THE PIN AND C CLASP TO THE BACK ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. THE COLLAR MEASURES 17 1/2 INCHES IN LENGTH. EACH PLAQUE MEASURES 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER. THE BROOCH MEASURES 1 1/2 INCHES IN LENGTH AND EACH PLAQUE MEASURES JUST UNDER 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER. THE COLLAR IS NOT MARKED BUT THE MATCHING BROOCH IS MARKED 925S FOR SILVER WITH MARIUS HAMMER’S MAKER’S MARK OF A HAMMER PIERCED LETTER M TOGETHER WITH THE INITIALS MH. THE ORIGINAL JEWELLER’S BOX IS IN USED ANTIQUE CONDITION WITH THE CLASP BEING IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. WEIGHT OF BROOCH IS 3.3 GRAMS AND WEIGHT OF NECKLACE IS 22.2 GRAMS. Rare Antique Early 19thC French Sterling Silver Paste St Esprit Dove Brooch A gorgeous & rare antique 19th century – late Georgian/early victorian French sterling silver brooch in St Esprit/Holy Spirit design which is represented by the dove, the dove part hangs and moves. It is encrusted with paste stones which are meant to simulate diamonds. A scarce piece to find and a desirable piece of antique paste jewellery. A lovely quality piece. Comes packaged in organza bag. No markings which is normal for a piece of this age, tested as Sterling Silver; Guaranteed by us to be solid silver Weight: Approx 15.3g Measurements: 2 1/4″ long x 1 3/8″ wide – 57 x 34mm. Condition: Very Good Used Condition, some general wear and patina consistent with age. The paste stones have slight ageing but nothing major for their age. Antique vintage gold metal lace braid ribbon tape trim. Rare mysterious early china boy doll Meissen? For the knowing collector. This for sure very early rare boy is giving some enigma of it´s maker. Having the crossed swords inside it´s head what could attribute him to Dornheim, Koch & Fischer. Dornheim, Koch & Fischer was a small German doll head maker wellknown for it´s high quality and very rare. Meissen would be a little sensation. I leave it to the knowing collector to evaluate. The head is fine molded and painted. Blue expressive eyes with red line. Fine painted and molded moth giving the impression of a slight smiling. Unfortunately a piece of shoulder is brocken off, a tiny part is missing. A nearly not to see hairline crack on the neck runs up to the hairdo on the back. Early great leatherbody in great condition for age with fine fingers and wasp waist. Marks and holes where the head was attached shows that the head allways originally has been attached to this body. However this is a rare early china doll for the appreciative collector of early china dolls. Size Head: 4.1/2 – 11.5 cm. Size Body: 14 – 35 cm. Size Head + Body: 17-1/4 – 44 cm. Condition: with normal signs due to age, minimal disparitys or fails can be found caused to natural of item. More Arms – Legs – Heads – Eyes – on request. Original – not new or repainted.
