Exceptionally Rare Pre Coalport John Rose Coalbrookdale Porcelain Sauce. Circa 1805 – 1810. Rare John Rose & Co Coalbrookdale Porcelain Pre Coalport Circa 1805 – 1820 Sauce Tureen & Underplate. Likely a bespoke commission for an important family, given the incorporation of a monogram. All hand painted and gilded, Great overall condition, considering the piece is approaching 200 years old. There is a chip to the foot of the tureen, and two feint stable hairlines on the underside of the under plate as per the clear photographs. I have similar pieces listed, each with its own condition report, and photographs. Approx Tureen Size Inc Lid & Handles: 8″w x 7″ h. Early pre-1805 porcelains were unmarked and marks were rarely used before 1820. The early, pre-1820 Coalport wares have proved to be of a type of hard-paste porcelain. After 1820 – John Rose incorporated’Coalport’ into his porcelain mark. A stunning Rare white coloured multi faceted glass C1880 scent perfume bottle. The rarer push button flip top mechanism is in good working condition. The lid is in perfect amazing as this is over 140 years old. The hinged lid is in perfect condition. The lid fits perfectly. A stunning piece of history and the pinnacle of scent bottle collecting. This bottle still has original fitted glass stopper which seals liquid perfectly and means the item can still be used as intended all these years later. Width approx 3.3 cm. Weighs 92.4 g. Considering the age of this item it is in good condition. There are a couple of light dents on the lid section but these are hardly noticeable as they look like reflection marks and reflective of an item which has been used and cherished for 140 years. See picture 9 and 10 to see the lid dents. Someone will get a bargain. This piece is in all original pre-owned pre-loved condition as to be expected there is age related wear and marks, I have left it un cleaned and it would polish up to a gleaming shine.
