We are delighted to offer for sale a Exceptional!! And Rare Antique Rene Lalique Esterel Vase No. The Vase is signed on the bottom in Cursive letters R. The Massif de l’Esterel is a low mountain range on the coast of the Mediterranean in SE France having a high elevation of around 2000 feet. The most well known cities adjoining the range are the French Riviera (Côte d’Azur) cities of Cannes on the east and Saint-Raphaël on the west that are connected to each other by the coast road Corniche d’Or. Lalique spent time in Cannes and would have been familiar with these mountains. Indeed a very impressive and unusual Piece that will make a collector very very happy! . Kangxi period and amazing quality dish with different kind of flowers, trees and birds in verte palette on a black ground. Base with bamboo sprouts on yellow ground and a shop mark. The porcelain is very thinly potted, it’s either transitional or early Kangxi period. Overall Condition A 1 stabilized hairline, firing flaw at base to rim. Ca 1700 Qing (1661 – 1912). RARE LENOX SOAP EARLY 20TH CENTURY AME RI CAN ANTIQUE BLACK INK STAMPED SIDEWALL GRAPHIC ICONOGRAPHY, WOOD BOX ADVERTISING CRATE, with NATURAL DRY, MATTE ORIGINAL WOOD SURFACES, by PROCTOR & GAMBLE, CINCINNATI, OHIO. [Featuring Proctor & Gamble’s crescent moon hallmark]. Early 20th century Ame ri can antique wood box advertising crates & soap boxes. 8 14″ Height x 15 12″ Depth x 19 Width. For sale is this incredible and absolutely untouched, original and completely authentic, Proctor and Gamble of Cincinnati, Ohio, early 20th century vintage Lenox Soap wood crate advertising box, featuring black ink stamped sidewall graphic iconography on two long and one short sidewalls, early nailed corners and a wood plank floor. The black ink is original and still largely saturated and opaque. The wood surfaces haven’t been lacquered or varnished and have a matte, dry finish. There’s only the slightest bit of wood loss along the top right corner of one of the long wooden sidewalls. This amounts to what would be best described as a sliver of wood and not a chunk. The wood has naturally aged patina and its wood cover was pried off with a crow bar. The damage to the long sidewall most likely occurred when the wood box crate was initially opened. One long sidewall has great graphics with a hand holding a bar of Lenox soap. The short sidewall has the Proctor and Gamble crescent moon hallmark stamped on it.
