Up for sale is a antique German Early Antique 9 1/2 Paper Mache Milliners Model Doll. Very Rare Tucked Comb Hairdo. This is a rare antique milliners doll. Head, arms and legs are wood. Body is cloth stuffed with sawdust. She is 9.5 tall. Her clothing is all original and in excellent shape. Head, arms and legs are hand painted. Paint on face is cracked and partially flaked off. Condition: Multiple hairline cracks and crazing to her face. Paint loss and crazing to head, hairdo, front and back. Overall normal wear from age. No issues with arms and legs. Great detail also a rabbit fur beard. When wound the mules ears go back and forth while the tail spins and he moves from the vibration. Windup key is built in and the toy works great. GREAT ANTIQUE VERY LARGE & EARLY GERMAN PAPIER MACHE DOLL RARE! Exposed Ears

This doll is believed to be an early German Papier Mache shoulder head doll from the mid or early 1800s. The doll is unmarked. She is 31 tall! The doll has a unique expression , black hair, exposed ears, and blue painted eyes. She has kid leather arms that appear to go all the way up to the shoulders. I have not completely undressed her, but the leather is intact at least passed her elbows. She has a cloth body which appears to be original and in good condition but may have been replaced over the years. The clothes are old but again, I cannot determine if they are original. The clothes are in fairly good condition with some tearing of the lace. Her face has multiple rubs and one larger chip on the forehead. There is some loss of coloring on her cheeks but they eyes are still very vibrant. All of these imperfections should be evident in the pictures. All of her fingers are in tact.
