This stunning figure’At The Tea Dance’ is part of the Fashion on Parade series and is representing the dress from 1928. By 1928, a flapper on the town in a bare-shouldered shift was a familiar site. Even the necklines plunged a little deeper, very risque and alluring for the times. This lady has the classic’20’s bob hairdo (also very daring). The dress is a lovely rose color and her shoes are black with an ankle strap. The side of her skirt has a cream colored sash that is attached to one side – very elegant. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or restoration (see photos). 20.5cm Tall approx. On all domestic pottery orders! (excluding furniture items unless stated). Antique rare fashion doll early period Barrois size 3 antiques clothes. Swivel head in pressed bisque of superb quality very pale. Tiny hairline on the right side of the forehead, it is invisible to the naked eye, see photo. Beautiful expression of the face, closed mouth, beautiful blue eyes very clear fixed enamel, pierced ears. The head is marked on the back engraved at the top of the skull 3. Bisque pressed collar in perfect condition, no hairline no restoration. Antique wig in natural hair reported. Original body in skin entirely with gussets, fingers of the hands separate. There are pieces of tape on the wrists and on one foot to prevent sawdust from leaving. This Barrois fashion doll is dressed in an antique two-piece outfit (jacket that closes with all its hooks and in her blue checkered dress) and a superb blue silk hat with lace and a sock. Rare HTF Flirty-eyed early 1960s Italian fashion doll Sonia Ottolini wearing her original “Sonia” pin, wool red coat (does have some moth holes and slight fading), tan wool shift dress, pearl necklace and matching painted shoes. Sonia has her original human hair wig and is fully marked on the back of her neck. Overall, in good condition and her eyes work very well. A rare and wonderful find for a beginning or an advanced collector! NOTE: The items I sell are vintage/antique and therefore should be regarded as such. 17 Marie Cruchet French Fashion With Rare Body. The perfect pressed bisque head has no markings. The cobalt blue eyes are in their original plaster set. No cracks, chips or hairlines. There is a prominent mold line on right side of head. Original cork pate and original mohair wig. Fabulous and very rare body. Long bisque arms with tenon joints at shoulders. The kid leather is stretched over wood and is jointed at hips and knees and is in wonderful condition with no tears or patches. The leather is soft and supple and will last another 150 years. I have never seen this body before. The closest I have seen is the so-called “baggy pants” but this is much more complicated with no baggy leather. The middle finger on the right arm has been repaired. Lovely clothing as pictured and I believe the dress is original. The trim has all been hand sewn.
