RARE, Museum Pewter Water Bottle. This is a rare, early 19. Century English pewter water bottle. A similar/identical example is pictured in the reference: Pewter at the Victoria & Albert Museum, p. The bottom of this bottle has the inventory label LPH78.2 from the London Towne Publik House Museum (Edgewater, Maryland) when it was on exhibit for over thirty years. This is the only example we have seen or had for sale in almost fifty years. Very good with untouched patina. Twin Tankard Antiques is one of the world’s leading dealers of antique European pewter. OLD ENGLISH PAPERWEIGHT Four Row Concentric Millefiori ANTIQUE 1850 RARE. Dimensions: 6cm height x 9 1/2 diameter. Good overall condition, but does have some scratches on the top. Pontil scar on the base. Very deserving of a good home.

The people could be two farmers or a couple. Both have hats on, it appears. The whole scene is then circled by a floral and foliage display. All this on one small bowl – a true work of art to be treasured.

RARE EARLY LIBERTY & CO ENGLISH PEWTER & ENAMEL TANKARD BY ARCHIBALD KNOX. Description: This is for an Rare Early Liberty & Co, English Pewter & Enamel Tankard By Archibald Knox. The tankard is about 4 & 1/2 inches high and the base is about 3 3/4 inches round. The opening of the tankard is about 3 & 1/4 inches round. The width of the tankard is about 4 & 1/4 inches, including the handle. The tankard is Liberty & Co Pewter and is hand hammered. There is a red enameled flower type emblem with blue enameled letters ER on top of the emblem (see pictures). The wear is very even with no dents or deep surface scratches. The tankard is marked on the bottom English Pewter-Liberty & Co- Hand Made in England- 5080. In 1864 Archibald Knox was born in the Isle of Man to Scottish parents. By 1899 he was the main designer at Liberty & Co and is regarded as one of the most prominent influences in the Arts and Crafts- Art Nouveau Movements. This is one of his pieces. A very rare early Georgian silver English Provincial Hanoverian pattern table spoon dating to c1730, made by Sampson Bennett of Falmouth. Struck four times on the stem with his maker’s mark which is illustrated on page 70 of’West Country Silver Spoons and their Makers’ by Timothy Kent, and was registered on June 25. Inscribed’ER 1731′ on the terminal. The back of the bowl with a well-defined rattail, and having a pronounced ridge to the terminal at the front. The spoon is in excellent collector’s condition, having a good colour, the bowl with minimal wear and the marks pretty good for a provincial spoon of this date. Sampson Bennet of Falmouth c1730.
