RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1900’s CHINESE CANTON EMBROIDERED SILK PIANO SHAWL EMBROIDERY

ANTIQUE from 1900- 1920’s CHINESE CANTONESE EMBROIDERED SILK PIANO SHAWL! On a rare beautiful burgundy/ wine color silk material finely embroidered in the same color silk threads using finest satin stitches. Features beautiful blooming flowers and foliage. Extremely finely worked piece- just look at the pictures! The shawl measures 62″ (157.5 cm) x 58″ (147.32 cm) not counting woven border with fringes, which measure additional 10.5 (26.7 cm) long. Condition: good/ fair antique condition with some damages and imperfections such as tearing and repair in at least 1 spot, couple of big needle made- like holes, one spot with a little fading (on the reverse side only, invisible from the face), and overall some general staining. Antique Metallic Embroidery / RARE /Early Qing Dynasty 1700 Robe SILK fragment

This rare example of Antique Metallic Embroidery from the Early Qing Dynasty in the 1700s is a fragment from a silk robe. It is a long length of faded silk damask that is embellished with floral motifs and butterflies in a fine metallic soutache work. Every motif is different. The pink of the fabric is faded as you can see from the reverse side but this does not detract from the beauty of this piece in fact for me it enhances its ancient charm. Measures approx 68ins x 16.5ins. Condition: Good for its age. Some frayed areas to the binding edge but otherwise the silk ground although faded is generally quite good and not splitting. RARE ANTIQUE BEGINNING OF the 20th CENTURY CHINESE 2- SIDED SILK KESI TAPESTRY! The tapestry features an elderly scholar sitting on a rock with a student boy petting a goose and 2 more geese around them. The Kesi measures 41″ (104 cm) long x 19″ (48.3 cm) wide. Condition: VERY GOOD antique condition with no damages or imperfections aside some remains of paper and slight staining on the edges as the panel used to be framed, attached to backing, and covered with glass. Use the pictures as a part o f the condition report! This kesi tapestry makes a beau tiful display and will be a valuable addition to any collection! Here is a rare and early Greek Islands embroidery from the 17th Century or early 18th C. Colors are very well preserved and the embroidery is in fairly good condition. The tassels were probably added in the 19th Century to replace the original tassels. This may have been a scarf. Dimensions: It measures 14 x 32 inches. Circa: Late Late 1600s / Early 1700s. EARLY RARE Antique QUOTE SAMPLER Framed Embroidery MARY CLEAVELAND 11th Year

Presented for your consideration is this early sampler. The sampler is all hand embroidered and features several different small pictures around the outer edge. These pictures include a tree, animal-like figures and various designs. In the center is a quote about living life. The quote is somewhat hard to read due to flawed stitches in the making of the sampler. Roughly reads Remember thy creatou in the days of thy youth while the evil days come nor the years draw nigh when thour halt ray have no pleasure in them. ” Below the quote reads “Honour to your parents give us long as you on Earth do live. Mary Cleaveland made the sample in the 11 year. The sampler is framed in a thick wooden frame. This rare sampler would make a great addition to any sewing or embroidery collection! There are 2 holes in the sampler in the upper right corner and two runs are in the upper left corner. A run is also in the lower right corner. Some light to mild age wear is on the sampler and the frame. A chip is out of the bottom right corner of the back of the frame. Overall in VERY GOOD condition for its age. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details. Sampler alone measures 8 3/8″ wide by 11 5/8″ long. Entire piece measures 13 1/4″ wide and 16 5/8″ long. I lived in Europe as an expat for many years and amassed a a superb collection of antiques (silver, porcelain, books, art, antique textiles) which I bought from antique shops, private dealers etc. I have priced all of them for much less than I paid for them, so they are bargains in the full sense of the word. I try to take detailed photos of each item in order to convey condition but will indicate in the text if there are any issues with the items. I found these glorious boots in a London shop and were told by the owner that these types of boots were collected avidly by John Galliano who found them an inspiration for his designs. Gold thread embroidery on velvet, with leather soles, these Uzbek 19th C boots were worn indoors and are often referred to as’leather stockings’.. EARLY 1811 RARE Antique FAMILY RECORD SAMPLER Liberty KLINGON Eberly Embroidery

1811 Family Record Sampler. Presented for your consideration is this early sampler. The sampler is all hand embroidered and features a floral border around the outside edge as well as the bottom. Bottom edge reads Liberty Klingon Sampler 1811. On the bottom half of the sampler are several initials representing different family members. Top half of the sampler features the alphabet in upper and lower case lettering and numbers 1-14. The sampler is framed in a thick wooden frame. Attached to the back of the sampler is information about the family that the sampler is about. This information states that the initials on the front and back represent the following family members: Ann Boyd, William Klingon, Liberty Klingon, Mary Alice Boyer, Bette Champion, G. Tripp and Thelma Tripp + Eberly + Harris. The sampler came out of the Eberly estate in Jackson, Michigan. This rare sampler would make a great addition to any ancestry or embroidery collection! It looks like there are letters missing from the lower case alphabet. These appear to be the only stitches missing on the sampler. Light fading from age. Mild wear on the frame.
