However you will notice that some of the seating area does have some minor damage but they’re still very much usable and the measurements are as follows. Total height is 32″ x 16″ wide and 18 inches deep and the floor to seating area it’s approximately 17 1/2 inches.

Known as the’Strawberry Hill’ pattern Windsor chair, the pierced Gothic tracery back above shaped arms, shaped panel seat, cabriole front supports and crinoline stretcher. They have been cleaned waxed and polished, they are in fine order throughout and totally original. You are welcome to collect yourself with adhering to social distancing. For your consideration are a pair of rare and early Eero Saarinen for Knoll side chairs. These early production examples are evidenced by the unusual base structure and “Knoll Associates” label on the underside. The earliest of these chairs featured a single base on an aluminum frame with a parallel bar structure; the design was soon changed to feature two sets of legs on a chromed frame. This early example also has a fiberglass interior shell; modern production chairs have been changed to a plastic shell due to environmental concerns. Here is a chance to own a piece of design history from one of the masters of mid century design. The chairs reflect Saarinen’s graceful and organic style. One can see the same shape in these chairs as is reflected in his architecture, including iconic buildings such as the TWA terminal at JFK and the St. The upholstery is not original. D ROSE MOD, Inc. RARE Early Vintage 1950’s George Nakashima Studio Pair Captains Chairs Walnut. Listed for sale is an original pair of George Nakashima captain’s chairs, never refinished and in gorgeous original condition. Uniquely, the two chairs vary dimensionally from more recent examples produced at the Nakashima Studio. Per the last two photos in this listing, the chairs were both brought to Mira Nakashima for authentication and assessment. Due to the informal nature of production in the 1950’s, Mira believes these to be early examples prior to George deciding on a single specific dimension. She also believes that they very well may have been special ordered for a couple with one taller and one shorter individual. As a result, the backrest crests vary from one another. Mira will be providing a written letter, which will be made available to you upon purchasing the chairs. Furthermore, I have an order card (not specifically mentioning these chairs, as it was a later order card) from the Nakashima Studio from the same family, as this came from an estate with many Nakashima pieces. The price listed is for one chair. Both chairs are available. And I will make sure that it is as inexpensive for you as possible.
