RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1900’S COLONIAL BRASS ELECTRIC FAN 12 BRASS BLADE AND CAGE. The fan was originally built to be used with direct current that was available in some parts if the US in the early 1900s but the motor burned up prior to my ownership. I replaced the motor and switch with a 110 volt model which makes it user friendly. The finish on the Colonial is bare metal that was coated with linseed oil and baked, several original parts were replaced with brass. The fan is a front oscillator that runs well on all three distinct speeds. Rest it near a window, and wind it up when there is a party, heads will turn with a smile. The cage has a lovely embossed base and sides. Along with an ornate top. “Made in France” imprinted on base.
