An early 19th century Georgian Spode porcelain teapot and matching oval stand featuring a classic blue and white transfer-printed Willow pattern. The teapot has a cylindrical body with a straight spout and a curved, angular handle, both accented with delicate gold gilt detailing that also circles the rims and the base. The intricate landscape scene depicts traditional pagodas, a weeping willow tree, a bridge, and distant mountains, all set against a white porcelain ground. Stand dimensions: 18.25 x 15 cm – Teapot length: 26 cm – Height: 14.5 cm – Width: 11.5 cm. In great overall condition with a tiny chip to end of spout. A fine original early 19th Century antique English Georgian blue and white transferware plate from Spode’s perennially popular “Caramanian” Series. This one printed in the “Sarcophagi and Sepulchres at the head of the harbour of Cacamo” pattern. The reverse of the plate has the c1770 impressed makers mark, Spode 9, underglaze and blue printed makers mark X. Condition; Sadly there is damage to the plate (see photo), the actual transfer is incredible still for its age – over 217 years old, It’s an amazing piece of early Spode.

A very rare early Spode coffee’can’ (cup / mug), dating to circa 1802, decorated in the striking pattern 441. This elegant design features a salmon-pink ground with intricate gilt scrolls and stylised foliage, framed by fine gold bands. The interior is left plain, highlighting the richness of the exterior decoration. This pattern was introduced at the very beginning of the 19th century and is recorded in the original Spode pattern books. Examples are illustrated on the specialist reference site Antique Spode, where it is noted as one of Spode’s most attractive early gilded designs. Spode, founded in Stoke-on-Trent by Josiah Spode in the late 18th century, played a pivotal role in developing fine English porcelain, including the introduction of bone china. Early decorated pieces such as this coffee can reflect the refinement and innovation that made Spode internationally renowned. Condition: Very good, clean antique condition. No cracks, chips or restoration. Some expected wear to the gilding, particularly around the rim and central band, consistent with age and use. Dimensions: Height: 6.5 cm (2.6 in) Width (including handle): 8.5 cm (3.3 in) Diameter: 6.25 cm (2.5 in) Unmarked, as is typical for this early period. A fine piece of early Georgian Spode porcelain – highly collectable and a wonderful example for any serious Spode or English porcelain collection. ? Some of the tobacco leaf stoneware all seem to have some sort of damage this one is in absolutely beautiful condition from chips cracks and crazing. Rare Antique Spode Porcelain Teapot Early 19th Century Gold Finial Octagonal. This lovely teapot is multicolored and hand painted. The red back-stamp is painted. The item is made from porcelain. The pattern is a rose in a cornucopia shaped vase. This teapot is handmade and stamped with the original Spode brand, ensuring its authenticity. This is a rare pattern and shape. Teapot has two small chips on the top edge of the lid in the gold trim. There is a repair of a chip which has been glued on the top rim edge of the teapot in the gold trim. On the bottom edge there may be a small chip. This may be a production issue. Some minor issues with worn gold trim are noted. For the age, these a minor concerns. Please see detailed photos.
