Rare Antique Early 19th Century English Fusee Skeleton Clock
This listing is for a rare antique skeleton clock. The clock is English and it dates to the early 19th century. The clock was made by Edward Scales of Manchester, England. According to “Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World” by GH Baillie, Scales was active in Manchester during the early 19th century, starting around 1800. The base is made from nice burled wood. The time only chain fusee movement does appear to be in overall good condition. But it has been in storage for quite some time. The clock could use some routine servicing and the fusee cable needs to be replaced. Glass dome is missing. 11 x 6 x 14.5 inches.

A rare and superb late 19th Century anatomical wall chart depicting the human skeleton, marked. Schreiber’s Anatomische Wandtafeln’. It comes from the workshop of Ferdinand Schreiber, whose Munich-based publishing house was established in 1831. It is printed onto heavy canvas-backed paper with a fold in the centre for storage. Excellent original condition with minimal fading, original wooden poles to top and bottom, and without tears. Marked in writing to the reverse “Das Knochengerust”, meaning “The Skeleton”. Unique and Rare Timepiece Vintage early 1900`s New Cased Swiss Watch Very Beautiful Mechanical Work. Nowadays this Original Trib mechanism with Original Metal dial and hands, manufactured in early 1900`s were put into new Stainless Steel gold color wrist Case, that was made on Factory by Professionals specially for this Mechanism. The back and front covers are transparent, covered with mineral glasses (not plastic). This watch is in perfect working condition, keeps great time and can be used in everyday life. Non-Original gift Watch Box is in the set. Looking through the back transparent cover, you can see a routinely serviced and high quality manual wind 15 Jewels movement with red Ruby jewel settings. Working very good, very clean. This beautiful watch has original movement in an excellent condition, which was very well saved, considering age of this watch. Mechanism has been recently serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping great, accurate time. The watch measures: 47.5 mm – diameter of the Case, 52.7 mm – case wide with crown, 16.1 mm – thickness; It is in perfect working order condition. All mechanisms are serviced, new oiled and adjusted.
