A rare and robust matching service from the prestigious Sheffield makers Walker & Hall. This set is professional “Hotel Quality, ” built using the superior “Warranted Hard & Silver Soldered” method, making it incredibly durable and heavy-gauge. The teapot features a fascinating hand-scribed “W D” mark on the base (positioned by the flag logo) indicating it was issued to the British War Department. This set likely saw service in a Military Officers’ Mess or a Government Department circa 1930. The coffee pot remains in its original factory state without the additional department mark. Teapot is a 2-Pint capacity, marked with date letter’m’ c. Coffee Pot is a 1½-Pint capacity (marked 1½ PTS), matching design and series number (53665A). Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition with a bright high-shine finish. They are watertight, solid, and ready for use or display. Features the classic Walker & Hall pennant flag and Sheffield stamps. A beautiful set of British heritage silver plate with a genuine historical connection.

And rare high grade solid silver snuff box of oval curved form with an embossed fluted decorated lid and reeded body. The lid has a central cartouche with the engraved initials “GK”. Rich silver-gilt (gold washed) interior. Tested as 900 (900/1000) or higher solid silver fineness. Rare French hallmarks, Minerva head with letter “C”, a very unusual double headed stamp, a makers mark and another swan or reversed “S” type stamp. In very good condition, no nasty dents, splits, holes, repairs. There is a couple of dints to the underside (please inspect end photograph). Hinge in good order, being strong and closing the lid securely, the decoration is in excellent condition and the interior silver-gilt is rich and bright. & Co, Bombay, India – Early 20th Century. Handcrafted Silver Bowl with Hindu Deity Motif. A finely worked antique silver bowl marked T. P. R. & Co of Bombay, a known maker of Indian silver active in the late 19th to early 20th century. The bowl features a continuous band of repoussé Hindu deities in high relief, framed by intricate scrolling foliate borders. The form is raised on bun feet with applied handles, consistent with documented examples from this workshop and period. The maker’s mark T. P. R. Weight: 181.48 grams (5.83 troy oz). Material: Tested silver (acid tested). Construction: Hand-worked repoussé and chased decoration. Origin: Bombay (Mumbai), India. Very good antique condition with expected age-related surface wear, patina, and light oxidation. No major damage or repairs observed. Structurally solid and displays exceptionally well. This is a genuine antique Indian silver piece, not a later reproduction or decorative base metal example commonly found in the market. Rare Antique Silver Elephant Inkwell with Bronze Flautist Monkey. Gorgeous antique silver plated Indian elephant inkwell featuring a little bronze monkey playing the flute. Highly detailed with elephant headdress and a beautiful uplifted trunk. The tusks act as a pen rest. 6.5″ by 5.5″ by 4.75 made circa 1920, likely German or Austrian. It’s a beautiful rare form. Looks to have been mounted at one point and does not rest flat. You would need to make a small cut on the added bar for it to lay level. Dent in base on left side. An absolutely fantastic antique cruet set with beautifully preserved original cut crystal bottles. The carving is crisp and elegant. The proportions are beautifully balanced. And yes – it includes the rare cayenne pepper bottle with its pierced top, still present and intact. There are clearly visible maker’s marks on the stand. What I can say with confidence: it is an English silver-plated set from the early 20th century, solidly made and thoughtfully designed. The silver plate shows noticeable wear along the edges and on the upper handle, with warm brass tones coming through in places. This is honest age-related wear and consistent with its age. Structurally, it is strong and stable. The glass is in very good condition. No chips or cracks observed. The set has been carefully cleaned and gently polished where appropriate. The condition visible in the photographs is exactly as described – what you see is what you will receive. No hidden defects, no structural issues, no unpleasant surprises. The silver tray is not original to the set. It has been intentionally paired to complement the cruet and create a stronger visual presence. Together, they can function not only as serving ware but as a refined centrepiece for a dining table or kitchen island. The tray may also be used separately if preferred. Some pieces reveal everything. Some keep a small secret.
