THE TOP LIFTS OFF AND THERE IS A POURING MECHANISM. IT IS MADE OF AN EARTHENWARE POTTERY. WITH ONE DECORATIVE FLAIR / FAN. This is Rare Antique Meerchaum Pipe. It is an early meerchaum Pipe with a tiny bowl. A character pipe with the head of an African American wearing a top hat. It has been in the wars. There has been a lot of damage and has been Heavily Repaired. There has been a repair on the hat and the stem looks like is has had a lot of patches. Seems quite solid now. Some part of the stem is Amber I think. It has a small piece like an extension on the top that takes a tiny bit of tobacco. This piece is in good condition. It comes with a leather covered carrying case. Again repaired on the end. The pipe measures about 4 inches long [10cms]. The head with the extension about 2 inches [5cms].
