Early 19th Century Chinoiserie Blue & White Printed Plate Rare Antique Warrior. With a very dense Chinese-style garden scene at center surrounded by a strip border including a mounted warrior, an archer hunting birds, a bridge and small buildings, and more. Found in a recent house clearance. It’s in very very good condition for it’s age. No chips or cracks, just some scratches and surface wear to the back as shown. The front is in remarkably good condition. A rare find, I cannot find another example of this online available. Measures 24.5cm diameter. Please see my other items.

Hello and thank you for looking. One of my favorite toile designs! This textile is French and dates early 1800’s , c1815 This wonderful textile once hung as a bed curtain Stunning design! The tone of the toile has remained quite saturated in places and it has faded unevenly with time Gorgeous little cherubs!! This textile is hand stitched on all 4 edges and it’s backed in a very finely woven linen and cotton blend. There is one lovely hand woven hemp cord at the top where this textile once hung from a bed There is a very light cotton batting between the layers. It’s lightly quilted with a lovely diamond quilting design. A beautiful , beautiful toile! (please see my other textiles for more matching pieces to the set) (textile 26B). MEASUREMENTS : The wonderful antique toile measures : 21 inches wide by 92 inches long. CONDITION: This textile is in as found, unwashed condition with storage dust. Please view photographs which show the damage at the top and side edges! (please use the zoom feature to view condition closely) There are pale pepper marks (foxing) at the bottom of this textile on the back. All condition reflected in the price. Has a soft coco brown colored background with exotic fruit trees, flowers and pheasants in. Rust, coral, red, dark brown and white with deep green leaves. Wonderful for serious collectors of early chintz fabrics. 23 1/2″ W X 44″ L. There are several rips in various places as well as some very small holes. Definitely NOT for sewing. Medium weight cotton chintz. Please see photos for reference. Our items are vintage and some are more than 100 years old.
