1816 Holy Bible printed in Philadelphia by W. Original leather binding shows some wear, but overall quite good compared to most of these early American printings. Scattered foxing and some page darkening. Overall a good copy! Measures a little over 5.5″ x 3.25″ and around 1.75 thick. The listing photos include the title page (if present) showing printer and year, all sides of the book, representative page samples from beginning to end, family history pages (when present), and any major flaws I notice. For Bibles containing the Apocrypha, I include a photo of the Apocrypha title page or first page. Family history sections vary in length; I may not be able to photograph every page. I describe major imperfections in the item description, but the photos are the primary description of condition. Please review them carefully, as they show the most accurate representation of the item. Antiquarian books are handmade, hand-sewn, and often contain natural irregularities, age-related toning, foxing, small tears, edge wear, and other characteristics typical of books of this period. Flaws, age-related wear, or small defects not specifically mentioned should be considered normal for books of this age. Due to time constraints, it’s not possible to collate each book. If I notice any missing pages they will be listed in the description. But it’s not possible to catch every instance of pages missing and such. If the text block is tight and complete, it’s generally a good indication that the book is intact, though I cannot guarantee absolute completeness. If you are looking for a flawless or modern-condition book, these historical volumes may not meet that expectation. Rare Early 1800s Philadelphia Redware Slip Decorated Loaf Dish / Platter, Coggled Edge HUGE. I’d like to offer for your consideration this wonderful, early 1800’s Philadelphia slip decorated loaf dish. It is a very large piece, 16 3/4″ x 12″ x 3 1/4 tall and almost 7 pounds. As you can tell from the pictures, it does show wear and it was restored. Still a great looking piece, perfect decoration for someone who appreciates antiques and folk art.
