For sale is a rare and exquisite museum antique Persian hookah (shisha) pipe head, originating from Shiraz and dating to the early 19th century. This intricately handcrafted piece is made of solid silver and features ornate repoussé and chased designs depicting figures, animals, floral patterns, royal and symbolic motifs. The craftsmanship reflects the rich artistic heritage of Qajar-era Persia. Origin: Middle Eastern Shiraz, Persian. Date: Early 1800s (Qajar Period). Material: Solid silver with chain and hanging charms. Height: 10 Inches (25 CM) X 3.5 Inches at top (8.5 CM) and 1.8 inches at bottom. Condition: Very good antique condition with a beautiful patina; signs of use as expected from a piece of this age (see photos for details). Upper Chamber: Finely pierced rim with tree-of-life motifs flanked by human figures in traditional Persian attire, possibly depicting scenes of celebration or storytelling. Ornamental cut-outs and chased foliage give the top an airy, regal look. Middle Section: Adorned with narrative scenes including a mounted figure with a horn, and attendants holding fish and birds – potentially referencing prosperity or festivity. Lower Section: Features a fluted base with hanging chains, bells, and tokens – typical of ceremonial or noble hookahs used in elite gatherings. Interior: Perforated bowl for tobacco or herbal mixtures, showing signs of genuine historical use with darkened patina inside. This type of Persian silver hookah head is extremely rare, especially in such well-preserved condition. East Early Islamic PERSIAN Ka-sh-an Old Pottery. This antique original masterpiece is a Mid. East Early Islamic PERSIAN Ka-sh-an Ceramic. It was crafted by hand with intricate ancient design and hand-painted with primitive patterns and glazed. The green-turquoise color was made by using chrome containing mineral dye in high PH condition (basic condition). The exterior of the bowl shows the “Breathing Holes” within the Ceramic Coating referred to as “Pancake Effect” giving this ceramic a Surreal look. This is an ancient style of firing ceramics. These breathing holes are hallmark of ancient technique of firing ceramics and a testimonial of the ancient age of this piece. Similar ancient ceramics can be found in several recognized museums in the world! Dimensions: 24 cm diameter and 6.5 cm height. Condition: Antique condition as shown in photos. Provenance: This ancient pottery piece has been a dear part of my private collection in Sweden for quite some time.

The exceptional quality of the piercing and engraving make this antique incense bowl both rare and exceptional. This handsome Oajar Persian brass incense bowl is likely early 19th century or possibly older. The bowl features delicate piercing work and is crafted by an unidentified master coppersmith. The color of the bowl is lightly polished brass, creating a beautiful patina that heightens the brilliance of this craftsman’s exceptional skill. The reticulated cover and bowl are amazingly intricate. The designs include animals and figures and calligraphy, all entwined by arabesques. From an old Upstate New York collection. 3.6 Diameter (base foot rim). 6.5 Diameter (top of bowl). The foot rim may have been resoldered. There a two imperfection in the piercing, note last two photographs.

Rare Royal Doulton Seriesware Hair Tidy – Persian C D3550. Scene/Title: Parrots in Persian style foliage. Colourway: Rarer white background. Issued: 1912 – 1917 only, the white background being replaced with blue in 1917. Height: 4 1/8 inches (10.4 cm), Top: 3 inches (7.6 cm), Base Diameter: 3 1/4 inches (8.3 cm) approx. Condition – The Main Body – No chips, cracks, scratches, crazing, restoration or any other kind of damage. The Lid – Has a stress hairline to the collar which can be seen either side, see pics. There are two tiny nibbles also to the edge of the collar, see pic. Neither observation detracts from this rare piece has they cannot be seen when the lid is inserted and the hair tidy is displayed. Any white areas in my photographs are purely light reflection. Will be sent very safely packaged, as always.
