This is an early Horsman baby doll; if you’re a Horsman or early composition collector, this character seldom comes up in good condition. At 16, this early baby is the perfect playable size. In stunning condition, with no crazing, shiny composition. Tin sleepy eyes, and a HTF open mouth (meant to take a bottle). Ready to display and love! No broken fingers or toes. Antique Beautiful Closed Mouth Very Rare Early Simon Halbig 719 Doll 12. In original Traditional German outfit. Stunning little doll with swivel head and shoulder plate and fine bisque arms Her head is marked S2H 719 Swivel head is a lovely pale bisque with closed mouth and pierced ears, she has little brown sleep eyes Her face is just beautiful! Her arms and hands are fine pale bisque with lovely blush detail to the hands it might be missing tiny tip on index finger not really noticeable, or maybe what just from factory. Her body is cloth in very good conditions no visible leaks or repairs. She lost her wig away, She is dressed with German outfit with Original very fragile blouse (ripped one side) lace up corset metal hooks (missing 1) Her skirt is plaid cord is partially out of the waist pocket, underwear pants, and underdress slip in good antique condition, socks are stained I didn’t take those out because are tight to the feet. Currently the head piece is just pin attached, it will need some detailed cleaning on porcelain for greater looking. Condition: No chips or cracks to her head. 1 tiny paint chip her left eye. Tiny nibble to bottom of index finger but possibly done in production. Eyes working fine sometimes will not close when head is straight but if you swivel back will work just fine. This early antique Gebruder Kuhnlenz doll is a simply GORGEOUS and even more so in person! Her beautiful bisque is an even creamy pale color with only light kiln “beauty marks” as shown in the close up. No cracks, hairlines or chips! She is an exceedingly rare Mold #28, with big beautiful set brown eyes and closed mouth made for the French market. When I acquired her she was very dirty on a leather kid body which had deteriorated beyond repair from dry rot. I put her on a nice sturdy antique composition body with a new human hair French wig (with her original ribbon taken from what was left of her blond HH wig), and was able to salvage her double plaster pate (numbered “65”). She comes in a newer slip and pantaloons, beautiful vintage dress, bead necklace (shown in the second picture), earrings, vintage socks and leather boots handmade in the Ukraine. 9 Rare Early Kestner #169. AS “LITTLE MISS MUFFET”. Fully Jointed Cabinet Doll. From the Mary Ann Hall Collection. Original Antique Doll – Made in Germany. Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, Eating her curds and whey; Along came a spider, who sat down beside her… And she convinced the dear spider to stay! Mary Ann only collected the very best dolls. Little Miss Muffet Has Learned to Share! – Here you have a darling rare, early 9 Kestner 169 child, with closed mouth, on a fully-jointed composition body with straight wrists. Her bisque head is marked only with a “C”, the mold number 169, “Made in Germany, ” and what may be another “C” on the left (though it is faint). She has a lovely face, with bright blue glass paperweight (stationary) eyes. Her body in excellent original condition, with her original and beautiful full blond wig. After extensive research, I found that this doll is extremely rare and almost impossible to find, especially in great condition like this one. And she’s from a fine, reputable collection. She comes dressed in a Little Miss Muffet outfit, with her tuffet seat, an oh-so-cute felted spider, 2 bowls of “curds and whey, ” and two spoons… Because, of course, she has learned to share! Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues noticed on the bisque after careful examination. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE – for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of “hair” lashes on bisque heads (if they had them), not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors – for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. Any MAJOR issues — hairline crack, total repaint, etc. – would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not. Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, Eating her curds and whey; Along came a spider, who sat down beside her… And she convinced the dear spider to stay! Mary Ann only collected the very best dolls. Little Miss Muffet Has Learned to Share! – Here you have a darling rare, early 9 Kestner 169 child, with closed mouth, on a fully-jointed composition body with straight wrists. Her bisque head is marked only with a “C”, the mold number 169, “Made in Germany, ” and what may be another “C” on the left (though it is faint). She has a lovely face, with bright blue glass paperweight (stationary) eyes. Her body in excellent original condition, with her original and beautiful full blond wig. After extensive research, I found that this doll is extremely rare and almost impossible to find, especially in great condition like this one. And she’s from a fine, reputable collection. She comes dressed in a Little Miss Muffet outfit, with her tuffet seat, an oh-so-cute felted spider, 2 bowls of “curds and whey, ” and two spoons… Because, of course, she has learned to share! Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues noticed on the bisque after careful examination. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE – for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of “hair” lashes on bisque heads (if they had them), not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors – for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. Any MAJOR issues — hairline crack, total repaint, etc. – would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not.
