It is decorated with a rubbed planished design. It has a question mark style handle which has turned over sides. The base as also been turned over. Shallow dents around the base and neck opening which do not detract but mentioned for accuracy and which I have tried to show in the photos. A fabulous large hand-carved wooden decorative horse sculpture standing on its hind legs. From the early 20th-century, it was believed to have been used for precessional purposes in South-East Asia (Thailand, Cambodia). Standing at 2m tall, it is an incredible decorative piece that’s extremely rare, and it will certainly catch lots of attention. Finished in polychrome paint, it’s thought he may have spent some time outside which is why the paint is so distressed. Named Derek (by us), he fully comes apart and is easy to reassemble. There are some minor repairs visible to the tail and front left hoof (please refer to photographers) which could be cleaned up. 2m (height) x 176cm (width from tip of tail to front hoof). Base: 80cm (length) x 39cm (depth). Please note all our items are vintage or antique and will therefore show signs of age and wear, and we try to reflect this in our photographs. Our policy is to offer items such as this of being in an “as found” condition and so we ask you to look closely at the photos as they are an integral part of the description.

Lovely Early lock with key, the key is correct and the mechanism whilst ancient operates this could be made to work in situ, it’s a Fantastic Early thing, it’s meant to lock you in or out but not designed to operate from both sides of the door. Wear and tear the nails could do with renewing i guess but what would you expect, some old worm holes as usual.

This music box is a rare piece from the early 19th century created by Marque. A Fine 19th Century Rosewood musical box with inlaid marquetry top and crossbanded in kingwood – eight. Airs musical box, with start/stop and change/repeat levers. Original song sheet to the lid marked Marque. De Fabrique and No 39967, also marked IMHOF & MUKLE, 110 New Oxford Street, London to the case. Cylinder 44.2cms long, case H25.5cm x L77cm x D35cm. There was a piece of fuzz on the cross in photo is not a flaw on the cross itself the reverse of the cross is plain and can be worn both ways, over a high collar and vest is lovely if you choose, love this piece!!!
