This is a Complete double Jar Leech jar. Measures about 10.25 inches tall and 8.75 wide. Inner jar measures about 8 inches. Large jar has a horizontal hairline fracture fracture.. What looks like fractures on each side is actually where the molds joined during production. Small jar has a chip on lid and a tiny vertical fracture on the top 2 inches.

Visit Our Shop Here: C o l l e c t i b l e M a r b l e s. For A Wide Range. An Antique German Handmade’Lobed Solid Core’ Marble. This marble is a rare find, having a lobed solid core with a fantastic corkscrew twist. The projecting lobes are what defines this type, and in this case they are spun into a great spiral revolving tightly through the marble. The’peaks’ of the lobes are neatly picked out in jelly pink rods; and the’valleys’ are laid with ultramarine in a classic peppermint colour scheme; enhanced by the clean white base colour. Lobed marbles are distinct from ridged or standard varieties of solid core and are very sought after by collectors. The marble dates from between 1860 – 1880; with a hand-faceted pontil indicating production during this early period of the German cane glass marble industry. Marbles from this phase are harder to find; and valued for their smooth finish. The core colour contributes to value and desirability: white is the most common; followed by yellow then orange, with other colours such as baby blue, red and green being considered unusual or rare. Sometimes the core is striped or ribbed with thin rods of colours, and occasionally the core is composed of panelled panes. Antique marbles in the solid core class are always a sought-after variety because of their charming colours and structure – they usually have a clear glass matrix with a decorative surround, encompassing the central solid core which usually reaches from top to bottom. They are one of the fundamental types produced by makers working in the 19th c German glass factories, and come in a delightful range of styles and colour combinations. Antique 6 piece German painted wooden doll size kitchen set with provenance. There are a few other pieces that are included. It comes with a hand written note from the owner’s daughter. It states the owner was born February 26, 1894. She played with this kitchen as a child. The kitchen once had a kerosene stove for cooking and a small sink with a water tank behind it. Eventually it was packed away and brought out each Christmas. I have taken a photo of a 9 1/2 doll standing in front of the kitchen to give you an idea about the scale. The doll is not for sale. The pieces are described as follows. 1 China Hutch – height – 16 1/2″, width – 8″, depth – 4 3/4. The doors are hinged, and the upper doors have glass panels with painted detail, and there is some old green paper doilies on the bottom shelves. 2 Side Board – height – 9 1/2″, width – 7 1/2″, depth – 3 1/2. 3 Table – height – 4 1/2″, width – 8 1/2″, depth – 4 1/4. 4 Chair – height – 6 1/2″, width – 2 1/2″. 5 Bench – height – 3 1/8″, width – 5 3/4″, depth – 2 3/8. 6 Wall Rack For Hanging Items – height – 5 3/16″, width – 6 7/8″. There are tiny nails for hanging items. 7 Metal Wall Rack – width – 4 1/4. This was used for hanging kitchen items. 8 Three handmade pot holders. 9 Handwritten history of the doll furniture and the owner of these items. 10 Group of 3 piece china dishes. Condition: Some overall aging to the painted wood. Some areas where the paint is missing. (See photos for details) From a smoke free environm.

This framed German birth and baptism certificate, called a Fraktur, is from Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. It’s an early 1802 woodblock that is hand colored. It has a central heart shape, with flowers, tulips and birds around it. These frakturs came to be recognized as an early folk-art form and were often used to embellish certificates, bookplates and official documents. This certificate commemorates the birth of a son named Christian Fisher, born July 6, 1794, to John Fischer and his wife Hanna. The son received holy baptism on July 17, 1794. The frame measures approximately 14″ x 17″. Overall, this fraktur is in very good condition, and the colors are still vibrant and beautiful. It has only some light staining around the edges. This rare piece of history would appeal to historians and art collectors alike.
