Antique Signed Quezal Art Deco Tiffany Steuben Era Pulled Feather Art Glass Vase
Pleased to offer this RARE ANTIQUE SIGNED QUEZAL ART DECO TIFFANY STEUBEN ERA PULLED FEATHER ART GLASS VASE IN MINT PERFECT CONDITION!!! This vase is fully signed and numbered on the base. The Gold Aurene Iridescence is Stunning and is worthy of any of the finest Steuben or Tiffany examples. Same can be said of the Exquisite Pulled Feather design expertly executed here by Quezal in this Museum worthy example of their finest work. This wonderful cabinet vase measures about Four and a half inches tall and Six inches across. The following history of Quezal I copied from The Met Online website. Two former employees of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s glassworks, Martin Bach and Thomas Johnson, founded the Quezal firm and named it after the brightly feathered Central American quetzal bird. Using the same method of manufacture practiced at the Tiffany factory, the company made artistic ware with pulled and applied decoration of lustrous iridescence. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and don’t forget to check out my other listings. This item is in the category “Pottery & Glass\Decorative Pottery & Glassware\Vases”. Early Rare Worcester Feather Moulded Floral teapot c1765-80
Early Worcester porcelain teapot Dr Wall period, c 1765-80. Feather-moulded and painted in underglaze blue with with floral sprigs and insects: the Feather Mould Floral Pattern. Workman’s mark to the base. Condition: There was impurities in the paste when this was been made, which is not uncommon for pieces of this period. This resulted brownish grit marks throughout the pieces. The end of the spout seems to have gotten too hot in the firing process and has ever so slightly left a mark – see images. There is some other firing faults to the lids rim and the lids underside, small nibble to lid – see images. Spout to handle: 18.5cm.
